Made a reservation for this business and we had a small dog, they charged us a up fee which was fine. Vehicles were driving on the beach but we were told by a life guard that dogs cannot be on the beach. We would have never booked the room if we knew, we would have gone farther south or north. The hotel withheld that info. Also they say they are no smoking rooms when we went in a air purifier was on and it smelled of smoke. The room looked unclean and the shower rod had mold on it. Doors going to the pool were filthy and u could see hand prints all over it. A bit concerning with Covid still around. Also when checking out employees were right by the entrance door smoking. We should have gone to the Hilton for the price we paid and the deceitful ways. Lessened learned!

After reading all of the wonderful reviews, we chose this hotel to stay in. Imagine our surprise when we arrived!

The only thing correctly advertised about this hotel is it is on the beach. It is not a non-smoking hotel. People were smoking all around the pool and on their balconies. Not pleasant at all for us. The room was quite nasty in several areas. The dishes provided were not clean, the bathroom door didn't open all the way because of the shower rod, the mattresses were hard as cement. The balcony was rusty and dirty. The towels were small and worn.

With the concerns of the covid-19 we were surprised to see the number of people in the pool area without any distancing at all. The smoking area for the workers was directly at the front door entrance and of course no mask was worn. Plus, when asking the staff any questions, they didn't seem to have any answers!

We would never stay here again, nor do we recommend it.

We did a staycation here with some friends and we are so very happy with this hotel.

Parking was easy and seemed ample enough even with no vacancies left.
No parking pass required and no parking fee like the resort style hotels.

Check in was a breeze, we checked in at 3pm and our room was ready. At first I thought the front desk lady was gonna be a little "dry" but she was very pleasant. The lobby was clean, beachy and cozy.
Our room was on the 5th floor (top floor), room 503. The room was spacious, very clean and in good repair. Small fridge/freezer, microwave and 4 burner stove top. Beds had a tempurpedic type mattress on them and was very comfortable. Mattress protector on so everything was clean.
Balcony was amazing with an oceanfront view.
Room even had an air purifier with ultraviolet light.

No breakfast option right now because of Covid but we didn't mind. We just made breakfast in the room.

The most amazing thing is how friendly all the staff are!!! Everyone said hello or goodbye and wished you Good day....or have fun and a see you again soon. Housekeeping was just amazing. Even though they didn't clean the rooms during your stay (again covid) they were available for anything you needed. Even brought our teenage daughters fresh pool towels without them asking.

Pool deck is nice with area to the side with charcoal grills and tables to eat at.

We throughly enjoyed our stay and so did the other 2 couples staying with us.

We will most definitely be back and will likely book for large group activities.

Thank you Beachside Hotel for any amazing staycation. ❤❤❤

I live beside this hotel walk past it every day on my daily walks
in the past month I have seen them replace mattresses I’ve seen painting and flooring work vehicles
They always have a nice welcome note on the billboard that makes me smile
I see the pool area is clean and well-maintained
many room balconies With ocean views as I do from my place which are stellar
so if you’re looking for a small business to support from what I see it looks like a nice clean place
This is a fabulous beach destination
very safe Daytona Beach Shores police are spectacular good ocean swimming
Many nearby restaurants
Close to Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church

This hotel is under newer management and they are making progress with their updates. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to any request. The rooms were perfect size for my husband and I. We were visiting for a weekend wedding, and we spent more time outside of the room than in, so this spot was just right. Morning coffee could be made in our room, food in the fridge, and beach walk every day. We enjoyed watching younger families enjoy the pool and the beach. If you are a low frills person, this an inexpensive retreat.
