Residence Inn San Jose Airport is a beautiful property with super easy access to the airport. The parking is convenient. I had a perfect check in experience. The room was mostly clean and quiet. The view of the skyline was amazing. I had an early flight and the airport was directly down skyport drive which helped the efficiency of my trip. Very nice exercise room and pool area. I didn't care much for the lounge because I was hoping for a more casual dining experience. The food was not very good in the "lounge" so I would recommend going out to eat before arrival or cooking food in the room's generous kitchen area. They do have a marketplace inside which has a good selection of food items, beverages, and other travel necessities. I would stay here again and hope you will too.

We attended a conference downtown and the location was super. 7-minute walk (or 2-minute scooter) to the light rail. Very safe and clean around the hotel. The Hotel has a shuttle that is 5 minutes from the Airport. Both times to and from the airport was quick and easy. You can see why Marriott would put this business catered hotel here in this location.

Rooms were pretty good, not great. This is one of those hotels where the windows don't open. Our first room had a musty smell that actually irritated my sinuses. I asked to move and the second room was fine. I think the carpet in that sealed environment collects dust and (dare I say maybe mold). I heard the hotel is only 3 years old, so not sure if this was just particular to me, or that one room, or if it's common in other rooms.
As much as I enjoyed the hotel, this one factor would be enough for me to look elsewhere if revisiting. I imagine this is either a factor for people or not. For myself, I can smell mustiness in a room very keenly. I would always prefer a room with no carpet and with mostly hard surfaces on the floor. Hard to find, I know.

The kitchenette is mostly practical. It's not really stocked with water glasses unless you count beer and wine and coffee glasses. The utensils are limited, etc. But it works.

The bathroom is nice, the shower very nice. Very clean.

I really liked the option for the sleeper sofa. We needed the third spot (One king + sleeper). It worked out great for us to have that option.

There is a restaurant in the 'sister Spring Hill (?) hotel downstairs. This was quite handy. The neighborhood and the downtown San Jose area, in general, didn't seem to be overflowing with food options. We went to Japan Town one night and that was great, but at least around the hotel there are very few easy and nice places to eat. So having the restaurant downstairs was convenient. The food was fine, not great, not overpriced, good service, friendly folks. Mostly it had a decent vibe that did the trick well.

I and the kids hit the snacks at the front desk about once a day. Importantly, the prices were reasonable and not escalated due to them being the only game in town.

The pool was pretty good too. No hot tub, but there's fire to the side if you desire. The pool was heated and warm enough for the kids to hang in for an hour.

All in all a good hotel. I'm guessing many Residence Inns fit this bill. I was very happy with the stay.

I am a longtime Hilton Honors member at Diamond status but experienced that Hilton does little to recognize and rewards such high tiered members. Ready to try Marriott which I have stay throughout in multiple locations. The Residence Inn SJC airport does not disappoint!!! The place is well appointed, QUIET and good location if you are doing business in the area or need a place close to the airport. They have a complimentary breakfast each morning with a great selection of items which I was able to try on one weekend morning. I only had one issue which was that my linens were not changed even after I put a request in that morning. Everything else was fantastic at this property. Some amenities include a laundry room with ADEQUATE number of washers and dryers, a gym and a pool. Parking is charged at $15 per day but I understand that is the norm in this area. The GM was super and very responsive so kudos to him!! Loved my stay and will stay again in the future for sure!!

New and very clean hotel very close to the airport and the highway. Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast varied and complete (sweet, salty, cold heat) very good. Rooms well soundproofed and well furnished and clean. Equipped with everything you need with a full kitchen. Services adapted to the category, self-service laundry, swimming pool, outdoor barbecue area, paid parking. I stayed with the family and we enjoyed it very much, so I recommend it to everyone.

Great customer service is on display from the moment you walk in the hotel lobby.

The positive people impressions are soon followed by the experience of entering a quiet, comfortable, spacious, clean, modern hotel room -- which also includes a well-stocked kitchen and an ample bathroom area.

Also, the gym is great, with lots of well-maintained cardio equipment and, just outside, a nice-looking, large pool -- where (although this was a solo business trip) I'm sure kids would have a blast. Breakfast was a full buffet, where I was once again greeted by friendly, attentive staff. Check-out was easy and quick, with a proactive offer to access the hotel's complimentary shuttle service.

Plus, the Residence Inn SJ Airport stands out for its value price in a geographic area where much older (read: 1960s-70s), less-habitable hotels abound with often higher nightly rates.

You will be delighted at every aspect of this hotel, just blocks from the SJC airport.
