Rooms are ok, but lack amenities. The hotel rooms seem like a house with moderate amenities and absolutely no other services. Bathroom was in poor condition and had a foul smell. The mattresses and sheets were not in the best condition. They had was a fan installed on the wall (table fan style) and it was not sufficient to cool the room. Wifi was non-existent in the rooms, only worked in the small reception area. The tourist places are little far from this resort. The rooms are ok but the bed and blanket is not good & Clean. Room service is not up-to the mark.
Since the boys at the restaurant only know the hindi language, its very difficult for us to communicate with them and order your food as you like. And also there are shortage of resources in Restaurant. Hence its take long time to prepare and serve the food in time. But food quality is good. Electric supply is the main problem but they have generator. We have experienced power cut for multiple times in a day. During night it took some mins to start their genset.
Stayed one night . Little away from Gonikoppal . Large property with ample parking. Rooms were large too with a balcony. Toilets were perfect. Room service was efficient and Sudarshan (Manager) was always eager to be of assistance. Restaurant was good though pricey. Appams at Rs 45/- a piece ****. No other place nearby , so you are stuck with the resort.
Overall , not a bad outfit.
We stayed for 02 nights at Palm Valley Resort. Rooms was very neat and cleaned. Spacious room with huge seat out places. Food and services was very good. Place is very silent and decent. Huge place for parking. They have UPS connection in the rooms also. We will recommend this place.
We stayed here for a wedding and I expected more of the resort. Most of the rooms were occupied by my extended family for the wedding. Rooms are spacious, but lack amenities. Bathroom was in poor condition and had a foul smell. 2 twin beds were provided for 3 people in the room and the mattresses and sheets were not in the best condition. It was hot in April and all they had was a fan installed on the wall(table fan style) and it was not sufficient to cool the room. I didn't see even 1 room with a/c even though the website mentions a/c rooms. Wifi was non-existent in the rooms, only worked in the small reception area.
Stayed over 5 nights - on a business trip to the region.
The room I got was fantastic - though at times I wondered if I could manage without the air-conditioner or ceiling fan (they have a wall mounted fan that did the job). The food at the restaurant was great - the Coorg Pork Curry was superb. The drinks are rather highly priced though for a place of this kind.
On most nights, I wondered if my colleague and I were the only residents.
The "but" has to do with the last night - there was storm around midnight, the electricity went off and the generator didn't come on till early morning. The mosquitoes made life miserable and the suffering had its effect on the rest of the day.
