This is a small, simple, no frills and rustic resort. If you need any help to arrange any activity for the day or advice, the friendly manager or his staff will be able to assist competently. The small restaurant provides simple but tasty dishes. The rooms are basic ( no air conditioner) but comfortable - the only downside is the mosquitoes at night. There is a small pool and the beach is lovely ( dark coloured sand). You can arrange with the hotel, massage at the hut by the beach ( carried out by external masseurs) and the masseurs are competent and reasonably priced. If you like a small, quiet, basic yet comfortable resort in the northern part of Lombok, you can consider this.
Everything at Rinjani is perfect! We travled around Indonisia and nothing compares to this place. The location is absolutly amazing - The pool is 10 meters from the beach where the water is clean and crystal clear. The staff is unlike any other place! They will help you with everything. The food is amazing. I would rekommend this beautiful little piece of paradise to anyone
My husband, our 6 year old daughter and I spent 11 days at the Rinjani Beach Eco Resort and it was just perfect for us!
We had the honeymoon bungalow, a really nice bungalow completely made of bamboo directly on the beach: the room was very nice, bathroom big and hot water provided. The cleaning girl came everyday to clean, to make the beds and we got every day fresh towels.
The beach is big, clean and perfect for children to play or for adult to relax. There is also a pool with some beds to lie where you can enjoy your breakfast or just a coffee while watching the sea.
The restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner and cold and hot drinks, the food is really good and the staff very friendly and always ready to help you with whatever wish you have.
One extra word for Remi, the hotel manager: I did the whole booking with him by email from Germany some months before flying over and I really have to thank him for his kindness! He quickly replied to all my emails, checked for the deposit payment, welcomed us when we (late in the evening) arrived and was always friendly and ready to provide us with all the pieces information we needed. He organized for us a car with driver to travel around Lombok, the boat to go to Gilis and the taxi to go to the airport. Overall he was amazing with our daughter too!
Our experience at the Rinjani Beach Eco Resort was just perfect and we can advise it to everyone who wants to relax and be a bit away from the mass tourists!
Went here with my boyfriend as we were looking for a place close the Gili Islands but more quiet. From the moment we arrived to Rinjani Beach Eco Resort we were super taken care of by the staff and the owner Remi made us feel super welcome! Apart from a couple of families we were the only guests at the hotel and it felt like we had the entire place for ourselves, always free spots around the pool and fast service.
The bungalows were super cosy, I'm always happy to see hotels taking a step to reduce their environmental footprint and at Rinjani it felt like everything was a part of the nature. Absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom!
We were planning to take a ferry to the Gilis from the harbor but Remi helped us organise a private day tour with two guides who took us wherever we wanted to go and even helped us find some sea turtles, unforgettable!! So happy that we decided to do this instead of going on the 2 hour ferry and renting snorkling equipment etc on the islands, and organising transport between the islands ourselves.
Thank you so much for having us, we can't wait to come back!
When we arrived at Rinjani beach resort we thought we had lucked in. Such a beautiful setting, the grounds are kept clean and tidy, the pool overlooks the stunning black sand beach and the sunsets are just a dream. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the service we received and being one of very few guests we can't imagine how bad it is in peak season when every room is taken. We asked for a fresh coconut (which is on the menu) two days in a row only to be fobbed off by each staff member, we were tempted to climb the tree and get it ourselves! We stayed the longest of any other guest we saw but were put in the least private room which was so close to the staff and communal area, we could hear conversations and the TV noise till late at night however, when you actually needed staff in the day, there was no one around.
Would definitely recommend getting a motorbike while you are here to have the freedom to eat in other places, lots around within a 10 min drive.
