Paid for via Booking.com. Received confirmation and PIN number. On arrival no record and fully booked. 3 hours later driving round town. The hotel tried to book me into another in town. 1 room left a large cupboard with twin beds and no windows??? Eventually booked into Hostel Colon. Cant fault them but Booking.com & Hotel Castilla hang your head in shame.
Great location for discovering Antequera.
Has parking but not at hotel nearby at an extra cost.
Has a bar but was closed for holidays when we were there. Friendly staff young lady speaks English as well as Spanish.
Room was quite and had air conditioning
Right in the town centre. Great price. 3 of us sharing. Rooftop room had air conditioning. Towels and toiletries provided. Lots of hanging space for clothes. We loved it. The only thing we would have liked was coffee making facility as the hotel bar is closed on a Sunday. However, there is a coffee shop literally just around the corner.
A group of 6 of us stayed here for three nights whilst on a reunion trip.
we all got single occupancy rooms, some very good, one had a double bed but in a small room! not a lot of room to move. my room was good sizewise with twin beds, but no view at all except a small indoor courtyard with an air conditioner! It didn't matter for the trip we were on. Bathroom , clean, worked with all necessary towels , soap etc.
Breakfast was not a great choice, but the quality of what we did get was really very good.and served very efficiently.
Good different Tapas early evening then full meals after 2030 hrs. Smashing quality and reasonable prices.
Menu del dia at lunch, really really good at a cracking price!
City centre small compact hotel, well worth the price for three nights .
Staff superb , though some were not proficeint is English, but we all got by quite nicely thank you.
This is not a luxury hotel , it is what it is ---a smashing friendly cheap stopover serving good beer and food.
Located in a very busy part of the city, great for shopping & sightseeing, so parking outside, even to book in, is not possible. I arrived late afternoon and the centre was busy with shoppers and cars so, not having reserved a space with the hotel, I parked in the first car park I came across near the hotel which cost me 16€ overnight. A lesson learned when staying in a city centre hotel !!
The small reception was next to the bar, very busy and very popular with locals, especially in the morning. My welcome was rather rushed due to the number of people in the bar but was dealt with efficiently.
It’s not a modern hotel by any means but my room was fine, albeit that it was at the rear and looked out into a drab service area containing ducting, cables and a ladder. There was no disturbance overnight though, even from the pensionistas coach party who had retired early and consequently rose early.
I had a really good and inexpensive three-course dinner including a media jarra de tinto in the rather outdated hotel dining room served by a friendly and accommodating waiter who was there to serve my tostada & coffee in the bar the next morning and then check me out after my stroll around the city.
Absolutely nothing to complain about here and great value for money in all respects.
