We came back last week. We had a great time. We were moved from our original hotel booking so I was apprehensive. If I'm honest the hotel is probably a bit too big for me (just personal preference) which means a huge amount of people. Some of these people were so incredibly rude to staff which I found uncomfortable. It doesn't help that you are pointing to your food Infront of screens in the main restaurant. The staff are incredibly hard working and all very pleasant.

My personal opinion is that if the waterpark and all other facilities were open then people would be more spread out. We didn't enjoy the busy areas at all
but absolutely loved the quieter pools, relaxed pool bars, portofino snack restaurant and having the opportunity to
just relax as a family.

We found the cleanliness of the hotel to be spot on and the food itself to be superb. Possibly too much to choose from in the main restaurant which meant a lot of walking around looking for what you wanted.

We thought the beach bar was fantastic particularly at sunset with great staff, perfect cocktails and a very relaxed vibe.

The main beach was ridiculously busy in the day but late afternoon and early evening was lovely. We enjoyed the kids beach for a day.

We did spend 2 days out of resort which was easy in taxis. I think I would prefer being closer to the main resort but again totally personal preference.

Being able to see all the parasailers landing was amazing. We counted 46 in the sky at one time over the family infinity pool one morning which was spectacular.

Our room was quite small and not a 5 star quite although comfortable and lots of lovely touches like toiletries, slippers and stocked fridge.

In summary we had a great time, paid a fraction of the full price as TUI moved us. I have to be honest I wouldn't pay the full price unless everything was open but I'm glad we went.

Friends stay adults only and rave about the place so thought we would give family side a try with our 10 year old son.
Things are different this year. Adults side is closed with the exception of two pools...which we were able to make use of this year. They were our favourite pools. One had two slides and the other was at top of resort near the (closed) kids waterpark. This was an infinity pool and was very pretty and tranquil. The main pool was a bit loud for us and the last pool which was open this year was another infinity but 16+ so we couldn't use it. I think some people did not realise we could use two extra pools this year so they were nice and quiet. Never an issue to get loungers. Lots of empty ones all day.
The staff here are incredible. They really make this experience 5*.
The beach is good fun. Again plenty of loungers and shade. Towels available at every beach and pool area which is really handy.
Food was so good considering how many people are catered for. If you pick your times right the buffet is ok otherwise if can be very hectic. We did see numbers drop off as week went by (27th Aug-3rd Sept) so it got better. The Italian a la carte was great and the Turkish was good but all of the food from Turkish a la carte was available in buffet.
The watersports were brilliant! My husband and son did parasailing and the three of us booked a 2hr speedboat tour and ended up having the boat to ourselves with a wonderful Captain Ahmet. He was an excellent host. I really recommend the trip. Plenty of stop offs in pretty coves for swimming.
This place is huge. If you are not very mobile or dislike walking and steps it is probably not for you.
The room was fine. Does need a refurb but was perfectly acceptable. Spotless and tidy. Air con was super efficient.
Worth upgrading to sea view without a doubt. Amazing sunsets every night.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Liberty Hotel Lykia. The staff are brilliant, work very hard in extreme heat and are extremely friendly.

The rooms I am afraid to say are really quite poor and in urgent need of refurbishment. On our last day we were given access to a room to shower in before we left, which was much better than the one we stayed in throughout our holiday. The hotel in some parts e.g. the walk ways between the rooms are tired, require better lighting and far better sign postings. The late night bar, in particular, is also out-dated and in need of refurbishment.

The food is very good and varied. Although, I did not expect to pay for all the meals served in the specialty restaurants when on an all-inclusive holiday!

In light of the restricted access to the amphitheatre because of Covid19, we were unable to gain access. Later in the evenings, the hotel either had live bands which were really quite good or had a DJ. The music from the DJ is very loud. The music is not what I would expect for a family hotel. It is more geared for teens and 20's. It reminded me of my rave days of old, complete with laser lighting. Whilst the large Russian community in the hotel appeared to enjoy it, I found the music a little extreme. I guess you can't please everyone.

The mountains around the hotel are breathtaking and the hotel did as much as it could to ensure its visitors had a great holiday under exceptional circumstances.

We stayed at the Lykia for 11 nights with TUI, after having to change from the Balearics. We are a family of 5 with 3 young kids aged 6,5,5. Having never travelled to Turkey before we didn’t know what to expect but we were so pleasantly surprised and loved every minute. We don’t usually do all inclusive but it worked out well. The food was lovely and we always found something nice at the buffet, myself and the kids are vegetarian and we weren’t disappointed. You do have to pay a small top up (around €10) to visit the other restaurants but we decided not to bother as the buffet restaurant was fine for us and it still felt like a nice enough restaurant experience as the waiters were always around to bring drinks, coffees etc to the table. The cocktails and wine at all the bars were really good quality and the kids loved their ‘Libbys’ and ‘Berties’!
We spent more time at the pools than the beach which isn’t what we would usually do, but the pools were huge and the kids were happy there so we went with it! The kids’ beach was great with lovely calm water, it’s own bar and even mini sunbeds and kids’ toilets.
We went to a couple of the evening shows which the kids enjoyed, the basketball and the acrobats were hits.
Our family room was lovely, we were told it had been renovated as an example so maybe we got lucky! I had emailed ahead as our son has walking difficulties and the hotel put us in a convenient, ground floor location which we really appreciated as it meant he could get around without using his buggy too much which was just what we hoped for.
There were lots of water sports you could do but our children were a bit too young, maybe next time! My husband enjoyed the paragliding though, you land right back at the hotel which is handy!
Overall we had such a relaxing stay and would definitely return. I really can’t say anything negative. The staff were polite and helpful, the grounds were huge, well kept and beautiful and we had the best family holiday.
A special shout out goes to Uncle Magic and his boats (you can drive them round the pool at night) Uncle Magic you really made Max’s holiday!
Also must mention how clean and hygienic everything was. Hand gel everywhere, cleaning staff on hand to clean the pool area, sunbeds etc between uses, all staff wearing masks and especially in the buffet restaurant where everything was served up from behind screens by staff wearing masks and gloves. Nothing to worry about here!
Thanks for a fantastic holiday Lykia, we hope to return one day.

My girlfriend and I booked this 5 star hotel because we were amazed by pictures which we saw on the internet. Our impression is the same - far, far, far bekow expectations. There are some things which were great and I will mention them first. The view (beautiful sea view and sunset), the location of the hotel (pine forest all around the hotel) and the whole ambient is really perfect. The beach is not like it is on booking.com pictures (it has far more stones than sand), but that is the reason why the water has very beautiful color, and that's completely ok. All mentioned above has nothing to do woth human factor. But when it comes to human factor - completely disaster! We had a couple of unpleasant surprises (which is a lot considering the number of days which we spent there), and I will not hesitate to mention all of them.
1. Our first day, we were exploring the hotel. After aome time on the beach, we were sitting in the beach bar, next to the fence. After a while, in the middle of our espresso, the cleaning stuff came and ask us to move because they have to clean the fence, because of disinfection. We said ok, but since all tables were busy, we thought that they will move our table away from the fence, so we can sit again and they can continue with cleaning (which was in the busiest time of the day). No! We had to move the table, drinks and chairs on our own!
2. The infinity pool - infinity dissapointment! Although it's a hotel suitable for children, it has it's own adult beach, as well as adult pool called infinity pool. No matter from which side you are coming, there are clearly visible signs "16+". Couple of times we tried to find peace on that pool for reading books or a nap time. We didn't find it because there were also little children, jumping into the pool and screaming all the time. Stuff didn't do nothing about it.
3. Same pool, new dissapointment. One day, we came early and took our sunbeds. After an usual morning, we went on a lunch, leaving our towels and personal belongings on our sunbeds. When we came back after one hour, there was another couple on our sunbeds with their towels. We saw our towels, our bags and our PERSONAL belongings next to it. We were frustrated that someone touched and moved our bags and towels, but we politely asked them to move because those were our sunbeds. They refused and told us that the rule is that the pool boy is removing towels and bags from sunbeds if there is no one on them for 45mins. It was a bul**hit because no one has a right to touch your private belongings, especially not a pool boy in a 5 star hotel. Also, we used to play cards in a beach bar for more than one hour, and when we would come back, our towels were there, so it was obvious that she was lying. When we asked that pool boy to reslive the situation, he said that he can't do nothing about it. When we asked him to call someone superior who can resolve that situation, he said that he is in charge for that pool. We did not find any understanding from the staff, which left us a clear message: you can freely touch and move other people belongings, we are not responsible for the disorder at this pool. We had to pick up our belongings and to go to the room, since it was 14:00 and there was no free sunbeds niether on the pool or beach. Very unprofessional and dissapointing.
4. We booked a sailing trip in Fethyie, and when driver came to pick us up from the hotel, he was forbidden to enter into the hotel because of covid situation (which is the decision that we respect). When we asked on the reception for someone to drive us to the main gate (which is a 7,8mins of uphill walking) with their golf cars, they told us that it's not possible. We still do not know why. We had to walk to the main gate. Also, when I mentioned the reception already, it looks like a reception if a 3 star hotel.
5. Escape adventures - Inside the hotel, there are Escape adventures - paragliding, jet ski and everything else. We asked for the price of rhino boar safari, and the guy who is working at their shop near the reception told us that it is 80 euros for two persons. After two days, we came to book our ride and to pay, and when I took 80 euros from my wallet to pay him, he told me "No no, it's 95 euros". I paid it to him, amd our rhino boat safari was absolutely perfect, but it was shocking to hear two different prices in two different days. This is a 5 star hotel, show some class!

General opinion is completely dissapointment. It's good for families with kids, but for someone who is looking for peaceful vacation, wrong choice! No matter if they claim to have adult beach and pool, they don't respect it and they are not intrested to reslove this issue. Previously we stayed in a Rixos hotel in Bodrum and Delphin Palace in Antalya, which also have 5 stars hotel. Liberty Hotels Lykia is not even up to their knees.

We really hoped that we would find a hospitable staff (there are some very stuff, but only a few of them), and that we would have a pleasant feeling of welcome, but to our regret, we were wrong.

Merhaba, We thank you for choosing our hotel and country during the difficult days we are in. Our thoughts on your comment; 1) Due to the Covid-19 rules and risk, our staff must constantly clean and disinfect. We expect all our guests to approach this issue with tolerance. 2) Although very rarely, children may come to our +16 infinity pool and our staff on duty intervenes immediately. 3) In order for all our guests to benefit equally from our facilities, our staff has the right to remove the towels left on the sun loungers in accordance with the 45-minute rule. Of course, our guests' personal belongings are excluded. We regret that you blame our staff on this issue. In addition, we have many pool alternatives in our hotel and you could sunbathe there. 4) Due to Covid-19 rules / risk and security reasons, we do not let any company whose services we do not control and do not have a contract with, to our facility. We only allow them to the main entrance door. Because the wellbeing, health and safety of all our guests is very important to us. 5) We made the necessary meetings and warnings with Escape Adventure company.( they said there was a misunderstanding ) We apologize to you for this. In addition, guests can always see the price list. Despite everything, we think that we do not deserve a bad grade like 1 point. We wish you a pleasant day / holiday.

The WiFi is pretty good, i think coverage in your room varies depending where your room is. They do block YouTube, iPlayer etc unless to pay for premium WiFi. They block VPNs as well, i tried! Although my IPTV worked (i have the app on my tablet) i guess they can't block what they don't know about!

Does the family room have the single beds in a separate bit or do you need to book a double room?

I believe the family room has the double bed in a separate room, if you look on the hotels own web site they have a better description of the room types.

Depends which family room it is? If it's the garden view one it has two single beds in the lounge and a separate adult bedroom with King bed. If it's a large family room then it looks like you get a sofa bed as well. Check the hotel website for all the room options.
