This place is just perfect for relaxation

we have been 4 times, over the last 8 years. Around every 2 years we say "time for Vomo" we arrive frazzled, and leave calm and happy.

Staff are gorgeous, the rooms lovely (even fitting in our 10yo and 4yo in the same room comfortably), the food just divine, the facilities just perfect.

They were so accommodating with flexibility around my kids allergies, and my 4 year olds reluctance to stay in kids Club. That's no reflection on the kids Club, which is excellent, but she was going through a particularly clingy patch.

It is understated, but luxurious. It is warm and friendly, but still private and serene. Expensive, but worth every penny.

It is my favourite place for a family holiday.

Bula RachaelMG, Vinaka vaka levu for taking the time to review VOMO. It was so wonderful to welcome you and the family back to your island home and really pleasing to read that VOMO remains your fave family holiday destination. Hope it won't be too long before it's 'time for VOMO" again! In the meantime, sending you lolomas from your VOMO family.

I was hesitant on writing this review (like others), because I would like Vomo to remain a secret, because it is paradise. My wife and I picked Vomo for our honeymoon, and it couldn't have been more perfect. I read about 1,000 reviews (on this site) about all the places in Fiji, and we couldn't have made a better choice than this. The rooms are clean, nice, air conditioned, and cleaned daily. The only bug we found in our room ( Villa #7 on the beach) the entire stay was a tiny spider, that was it. The entire staff is wonderful, and will know your names by the second day. They seranade you with a song when you arrive and leave. The entire island is yours, being that it is the only resort there. You can walk/hike around the entire island, hike to the top of Mt. Vomo, while feeling completely safe. The island/views/sunsets/ocean are what you would imagine a postcard from paradise looking like. I can't say enough goods things about the food. Lunch and dinner are different menus everyday (we stayed 8 days), breakfast is the same with different specials every morning. The food is AMAZING. You can snorkle anywhere around the island, and you feel like you are in an aquarium with the amount of sealife around you. All the non motorized watersports are free and there never is a wait to use any of them. We stayed over New Years, and the party at "The Rocks" bar was truely amazing with dinner on the beach and a live band playing all night (the band was fantastic, we wished we could have hired them for our wedding). The pool was on the smaller side, and I read reviews about people complaining about kids taking over the pool (which didn't happen), but why would you want to sit at a pool when you are on an island with beaches right in front of you. If you want privacy, you could go anywhere on the island and literally not see anyone the entire day. We did the private picnic at little Vomo, and loved it. There are mesquitos that only come out at night, but the staff provides bug spray for you in your room everyday. I cannot believe that anyone would ever write a negative review about Vomo, this place is the best. The thing that really made our trip special was how nice & friendly not only the staff was, but the other couples/families were that stayed there. We met so many different people from different countries that were so wonderful and friendly. My wife and I were so sad when we had to leave this wonderful island. This place is paradise!!!!

So if you are going to Fiji, don’t stop on the mainland. This was the best spring break my family had ever taken. We stayed in the residences (Beachouse). The house was great. Plenty of room for our family of 6. Great set up. Pool was perfect and only steps from the ocean. For our family, to have one kid in the pool, two in the ocean and one in the house all while my wife and I sat in loungers outside not worrying about anything. We also had plenty to keep my more active side busy. Walking around the island, hiking the mountain, kayaking over to little vomo (all those activities included with the resort) as well as scuba, pack for a purpose excursion, etc. if that was all, it would get 5 stars from me. But you combine the food and plenty of options, with the fact that you feel like you are the only one there until everyone gathers for Fiji night and you realize there are 50 people staying there. Well worth the flight from the USA. ALL the staff make you feel like family. EVERYONE, is so welcoming. Of course the one that made our trip was Nikki. He attended to our every need, checked on kids that didn’t scuba, filled our fridge with drinks, looked over the fact the house looked like a tropical storm blew through it, etc. He was soooooo awesome. Always doing anything and everything with a smile. I would and will go back to vomo.

Bula 1971dad! We are so pleased you enjoyed your family time at VOMO. The Beachouse is a beautifully appointed residence in a fabulous beachfront location. Great to read you found the easy beach and swimming access so attractive and relaxing. Our superstar Butler Nikki is a wonderful asset to our VOMO family. Thank you for the lovely compliments, which we have passed on to him. Despite our private island location in the South Pacific, we are very easy to get to from USA, so we are glad you thought it was well worth it. The 'bed and breakfast flight' as we refer to it, has you sleeping the 10 hours across the Pacific, land in Nadi, then 12 minute helicopter, to be on VOMO for breakfast. Come and join us for Spring break again. In the meantime, sending warmest regards from the VOMO family to yours.

We stayed in Vomo for our honeymoon Trip for four nights.

As we visited two other resorts before, this should be the big ending of our trip... It came different.

As we arrived by helicopter the look on the island was stunning. We were picked up by car an driven to the reception. On the way there we started to wonder what the island looks like. Overall it seemed very poor serviced and made the impression that a strong storm striked the island one night before, but this was not the case.
In the gardens was rubbish and also an old rusty container standing around.

Arriving at the reception we had a warm welcome with music, which was very nice. At that moment we realized that there are several constructions going on at the moment.

Our room was quite nice but by far not worth the price. It looks like a standard hotel room which has been used the last years with not to much renovation.

Food was very good, but the service is slow and things are often forgotten.

On our first day we wanted to do the announced fish feeding. As we arrived at the activities center asking for the feeding they only told us where to find bread. It is a shame to announce this an activity!

Afterwards we wanted to see the turtle programm. The turtles are placed in two bassins and don't look very healthy. At the announced time a person with poor english showed up and left after two minutes...

The "beautiful white beaches" where full of tree leaves and rubbish and after complaoning described as "natural beaches".

All in all the resort is not worth half the price and there are much nicer places to go in Fiji.

This resort was absolutely AMAZING! we loved every second of it. It's absolutely gorgeous! the room was perfect, clean and beautiful. The food was exceptionally good. the staff was so friendly and they make you feel at home, they quickly learn your name, and are so attentive. we were worried about the fact that it's not an adults only resort, and if we would be bothered by the kids, but we weren't at all. The staff takes care of the kids the whole time, and you don't even hear them. There is enough beach space for everyone, so you feel like you're the only ones at the beach. All the water sports are complimentary, including snorkeling, which you can go every day if you want, so that was a plus! I'm not a good swimmer, so Zack one of the snorkeling guides, let me hold on to him the whole time, so I wouldn't be scared, which was so nice! the beach itself was very pretty too, water was clear and clean. If I had to complain about one thing it would be that the sand isn't that soft powder sand that you find in the Caribbean, there is a lot of coral everywhere so you have to be careful where you step in the water (bring water shoes) the sand is kind of rough with coral and shell pieces. But overall it's absolutely stunning, and I would highly recommend it!

Bula, thanks for your enquiry. The interconnecting rooms have an internal door between the two villas and are a duplex configuration - separate villas, yet under the same roof. These are also sold individually. There are a few free standing villas, however they are not guaranteed. The Kids Village operates year round and is open every day for children 4 years and over. It is complimentary to use. For children under 4, you can visit with parents or hire a Baby Butler at F$15 per hour. There are no TVs in the rooms, however there is a TV at the Kids Village and also in the Hospitality/Games room bure + Wii and Playstation. Two weeks is most certainly not too long. It takes a day or two to unwind on vacations. You may possibly be able to take advantage of our stay pays and have Stay 14 and Pay for 10 as we can double up our Stay 7 Pay 5 offer. Basically available outside Australian school holiday periods The staff are trained in first aid including trauma care and updated yearly by highly qualified trainers. We also have access to helicopter services for medical evacuations if necessary. The children can eat dinner at the Kids Village each evening whilst parents enjoy cocktails at The Rocks Bar. The Kids restaurant has its own menu and chef and is located on the deck of the Kids Village. Alternatively you can dine with your children at The Reef Restaurant for all meals - our main dining facility. One Baby Butler could look after both children and are F$15 per hour. We are happy for you to book via a travel agent or directly with us. Whatever suits you best. Travel agents can of course take care of all your travel needs including airfares, transfers, insurance and accommodation. We are unable to provide an email address here as this site will not allow, however please email us via the addresses on the website and we can provide the drinks list pricing and dates for the stay pays that are applicable.
