We stayed at Somin Lagum for one night while planning to visit the monasteries in Fruska Gora National Park. The house has been beautifully restored and the room we stayed in was very nice, clean and homely. The Host was incredibely helpful in providing us with information about the region and Sremski Karlovci. The breakfast was delicious with fresh rolls, bread and homemade jam. We even got to take a jar home with us as a present. Definitley recommended to everyone and we hope to return again.

The pension is located not far from the center of Sremski Karlovci. The rooms are very comfortable and are pleasantly furnished. Each room has a bathroom. The hosts take care of the regular change of towels, toilet paper, soap. In the room it is possible to prepare tea or coffee. It is very pleasant to sit in the courtyard in the morning and evening classes.

Our host Stevan was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom was recently renovated and excellent. Breakfast consisted of jam, a variety of fresh bread, honey, yogourt, cheese, tomatoes and our host offered to make us sausages and eggs if we wanted them. The B and B is very closely located to the centre of town and an easy walk to the main attractions. Parking was readily available, which is often difficult to find at a European hotel.

During summer, at extreme heats (40+C), our room in this house was naturally cooled and very pleasant, without any air-conditioner. Our mornings with a coffee in the garden were memorable, as well as some refreshing time spent in the wine-cellar, next to the house. The owner, Stevan, is a very interesting guide through the rich family history. Both he and his wife speak few languages.
The rooms are clean and quiet, vintage and modern at the same time; you can prepare tea or coffee in the rooms and they all have their own bathroom.
The house is very near the town center. Strongly recommended place to stay in Karlovci!

I always prefer to stay in B&B's as it is more personal experience, and there is always a good chance to meet new, interesting and kind people who make your stay even more enjoyable and memorable. I wasn't wrong this time, either.
The hosts, Danijela and Stevan, are one of the most hospitable and most enjoyable and interesting people I had pleasure to meet. Mr Stevan can tell you a whole lot about the history of this beautiful, more than 200 y.o., house, it's wine cellar that is now in the process of being turned into the museum of winemaking, and of Sremski Karlovci in general. He can also give you good recommendation of working wine cellars to visit in Karlovci (there is quite a few of them) and good wines to taste.
As far it goes for the accommodation, it was nothing short of perfect. My girlfriend and I stayed in Stevan suite. The room had old-time charm, was spotlessly clean, tranquil and quiet - ideal for resting. There is a free Internet connection, central heating in rooms, and direct access to bathroom (not shared with other occupants).
We will definitely come here again, and I would open-heartedly recommend everyone to stay in this place.
