Very nice room. Good bed.Very clean room/bathroom. Quiet, although very central in Old Town. Excellent breakfast. If minus: Not for people with problems with steep, narrow stairs.Either not for familys with children before scool-age.The staff is very service minded and helpful .We were two couples, staying two nights and we all agree:We will surely come back!
Beautiful, atmospheric Trogir is crowded in touristy August, though far less so than Split, which is why we stayed there. You'll find Villa Carrara along narrow alleyways in the middle of the old town, surrounded by restaurants and shops. But if you can't find it, ask any local and they'll point you in the right direction. Hotel reception is on the first floor above a friendly little cake shop/restaurant which provides a pleasant breakfast for guests. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a comfy bed.
What we liked: It's a wondeful old palace in the very heart of the historic centre. The room is exellent, very spacious with a nice design. The terrace is lovely as well. There is a lively cake shop on the ground floor, but the windows are soundproof, thus the room was quiet.
What we didn't like so much: The bathrooms's appliances are not the best (especially the hair dryer). The breakfast could have been better as well.
Located in the heart of Trogir, this small family run hotel is a good place to start from to see the sites in and around, including being a base for a visit to Split. If you do visit Split from here, take the ferry that will take you to old Split and avoid the traffic.
Our room was spacious and clean. Even though two of our windows were above a very popular square, with the shutters and curtains closed we found the room was quiet leading to a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Amenities in the room included a small fridge, kettle and cups, safe plus standard toiletries. Staff was helpful and readily availalbe with a ring of the bell in the reception/dining area.
I would have given this place a higher rating if the breakfast had of been better. There were limited options.
We had booked a family room to ensure we stayed in Trogir and were delighted in both the location and style/space in our family room (No1 in the attic). The views were really good. Breakfast is in the Italian style.
