I think the hotel gave me the worst room in the building. I read the reviews before and everyone said it was great. But I took many pictures to show my point. I'm pretty sure that there are motels better maintained than this hotel. The room looks extremely old and destroyed. Everything looks dirty. The bath towels look from the 90's, so old and tearing apart. The Wi-Fi is very fast and the AC works fine.
Well located for our needs. Staff at check in were not very helpful. We could not pay with a foreign credit card so had to pay up front in cash and they did not want to give us a receipt. Our tour guide had to intervene as no English spoken. The rooms cards must be reactivated after midday each day. No restaurant, so no breakfast and had to go out to eat. No laundry service but iron and ironing board in room. One room had a fridge not plugged in, the other had no fridge. We used the tea cups and they were not washed after use, although we had fresh towels and complimentary water each day. Excellent air con, comfortable beds, and functioning bathroom. Other guests kept knocking on our doors and it was noisy in the rooms because so close to reception. Would stay again but bring your sense of humour.
Spent a night here before taking High Speed Train to Wuyishan.
Hotel is quite luxurious. Room space is huge including the bathroom area with bathtub. Encountered some maintenance issues with the bathtub and had a change of room.
Bed very clean and comfortable. TV with plenty of programs mostly in Chinese. Wifi ok.
Hotel location is 15 minutes walk from the Old Street across the river.
Breakfast was very good.
The hotel well located in the heart of Tunxi. Not really near to the Tunxi old street, but still walkable, around 15 minutes.
The room itself was quite spacious and clean. There is a glass on the bathroom door, and we could see through it, and it was kinda awkward. But overall the hotel room was pleasant and worth the money. Aside from that, the wifi was quite fast and doesnt need to input our phone number to login (typical Chinese Hotel wifi needs it).
If you take a cab from Tunxi bus station to the hotel, the cab fare should be around 10-15 RMB
It was a pleasant place to stay before our climb to Huangsan. Room was pleasantly furnished and bed was comfortable. Though breakfast was located in another building, there was a buggy to give you a ride. The air conditioning could do with some adjustment, we had to open our window as it was too hot ( late October).
