All rooms smell terrible. We requested a non smoking room and the room reeked like cigarette really bad. There was left over foods in the fridge from the last person. Bed was sunken in / worn out . There was cigarette burns al over the bed. No ironing table, no iron, no hair dryer. Floors were really dusty. All of my clothes and belonging that I brought with me to this room smell like cigarettes and I have to wash everything. Please do yourself a favor and don't go to this place under any circumstances. Dog poop everywhere. Pool is dirty. Stairways and elevator is dirty. I have never seen any hotel as bad as this. It was just terrible. Terrible terrible terrible. Very bad experience. I will never go to any red roof inn ever again.
I had no problems and the pool was clean and chill. The numbering system for rooms was a bit odd but not a real problem. Room was clean and had hardwood floors. I'd stay there again and would recommend it to those who aren't super picky or need a lot of amenities
For starters the hotel is incredibly hard to find, not that you can’t see the sign but figuring out where to turn in took 3 passes by the hotel itself. The entrance is on a one way street and if you miss it you have to drive all the way around.
We finally make it into the hotel parking lot and get checked in. The pool is a shade of neon green that made me think your skin would fall off if you got in the water. We were only in town for one night so we proceeded to go up to our room.
We get to the first room and everything is a bit run down. I pull the sheets back on one of the beds to discover little hairs all over the fitted sheet. Not acceptable. The bathroom/tub were also disgusting. We called down to the front desk and they agreed to give us a new room.
My mom went and got the new keys for the new room and we took all our luggage over. The first thing I notice is a blood red stain on the comforter. I pull back the sheets to find more red stains, dirt stains, and random debris that I probably don’t want to know what was.
We packed up our stuff took it downstairs and asked for a refund to find another hotel.
The only nice thing was they refunded our money so we could stay somewhere else. I would never stay here or another Red Roof Inn again after this experience. You’d be better off at a Motel 6, at least they are clean.
Our recent stay in Austin was satisfactory. The hotel was off the west side access road to I-35, just north of the center of Austin. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There was no breakfast, and the coffee had grounds in it. The outdoor pool was very nice. The staff was friendly. There were no nearby restaurants. Our pre-booked rate was more than the advertised rate at the hotel.
Very affordable. Was what I expected for the price paid. Room was clean and beds were comfy. There were some cigarette burns in the comforter. The receptionists at the front desk, at all hours, were very nice, and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again, on service alone. Even though I did not get to enjoy the pool, it looked nice and relaxing.
