We travel frequently for events, so I can put up a little hotel grunge for a good rate - but this place is pushing it. Black mold / mildew on the ceiling over the bathtub. I get that it’s a damp spot but come on - some spray cleaner would clear that up easily. They just don’t do it. No water in the rooms for honors members and the last time we stayed here they accused us of having dogs in the room (which we did not). I spoke to 3 different staff members about it and they still tried to charge me a pet service fee. I was able to get it refunded, but found it ridiculous that this even happened. Apparently another guest said they saw us with dogs and when we got back to our room, there were papers shoved under our door about their pet policy. I immediately called the front desk, invited them to come and check our room (which they declined) and explained that we did not have dogs. When I checked out the next morning, I walked down to the front desk and explained again - we don’t have pets - the desk clerk apologized for the trouble and then handed me a receipt for our stay which included a $50 pet service fee. I pointed it out - he apologized again and then I waited there for 10 minutes while he tried to figure out how to refund it. Frustrating experience - wasted unnecessary time dealing with something I never should have had to.
Saving a few dollars isn’t worth it - much cleaner, friendlier options less than a mile from here.
Hampton Inns now open for up to 3 dogs in a room 😤😡!!! We had to move our room due to dirty room with dog 🐕 food all over the floor. This is unacceptable! We stayed at Hampton in Savannah GA the day before same issue ... dogs barking on the floor...had to be moved...major hassle. Won’t be staying at Hampton due to them Going to the DOGS 🐶!!! See picture of dog food attached.
Absolutely worth the couple extra dollars. Marcia M., Guest care representative, took very good care of me and my boys. So very helpful. Room was very clean. Beds very comfy. The soap is Neutrogena! My favs.
This will be the last Hampton I ever stay in again! To give it one star is overly kind. The owner is so aggressive with “policies”, overcharging my credit card when I checked in, I had to put a fraud alert before I left. Refusing to give me room cleaning, claiming Covid. But, no problem entering my room when I wasn’t there.Hotel manager came in my room to place rude letters but would refuse to empty the trash or put the towels were they belong or give me any replacements hair shampoo or lotion. The property is old and worn out. The coffee in the room is horrible, not even drinkable, it is so cheap. They refused to fix coffee, or promised guaranteed any breakfast and then a “to go”bag had stale dry old muffin type cheap pastry. This place is a joke for $100 a night. Horrible.
The poor employees do their best but the owners aggressive cheapskate policies make this property pathetic, I will never ever come back.
We were in 206 and I assumed other “06” rooms would be right next to elevator also. Based on the sound coming from the door where the elevator operates, I was concerned about the safety of it. Sound very loud by the elevator, though not as bad in the room. I have never heard an elevator sound like that. The room was typical of any Hampton Inn and why we love staying in them. Room tastefully decorated, great bed/ pillows/ linens, refrigerator, microwave, heater/ air conditioner. Bathroom was without mildew, but room soooo small more than one person was crowded. Staff were all helpful, friendly and nice. Breakfast hostess, Debbie, was excellent. Everything clean, food well stocked and friendly. Love Hampton’s, but would like them to install a safe in the room.
