I spent two nights at the hotel and have zero complaints. I found the room super clean and it came with everything I needed. The bathroom was clean and had a shower along with a deep bathtub. There was also a great onsen on site, which was perfect after traveling on trains all day. At night, there is a happy hour where you can use the self service drinks machines; I found it to be great value and the bar/restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. The staff members were polite, attentive and helpful. Location wise, the hotel is a short walk away from Kanazawa Station, making it easy to get around the city.

Only ten minutes walk with luggage from Kanazawa station and only twenty five minutes from the centre of town.
The Manten Hotel offers every thing you need for a short stay in Kanazawa, comfortable beds in a well kept room with modern Japanese style toilet facilities.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful with a good command of the English language.
Breakfast was a well organised affair, with guests queuing in two lines one serving Traditional Japanese breakfast and one serving Western/European style breakfast. Very effective.
There was also a multi national style restaurant for evening meal if required, at reasonable prices.
We would happily stay there again.

It’s not far from Kanazawa station, but not so close. It took so long to check in , so the check in procedure should be reviewed to avoid long queues
The room is bit tired. It need to renovate.
The public bath is good, but I found bit dirty towels in the sauna.

Our room was right in front of the train station, it was really noisy even if we were at the top floor. Continental breakfast had only savoury choices but at least there was the continental option that is hard to find in Japan. The location is perfect if you are just staying for one night to catch an early train in the morning as it's very close to the station but quite far from the main attractions. The onsen was lovely and peaceful.

Location practical but somewhat lost behind the station. Typical business hotel with no special character. Reasonable onsen. Generic room, clean and functional. Japanese or Western breakfast, always busy as seems to be popular with travel groups.
