Had a great stay here, location is very good can walk anywhere to the park, night market or to Tesco etc. Owners are very friendly and nice to converse tgt. Room is big and have good ventilation too with views of the city and everything is very clean. But it is kinda noisy at night due to central location.
The location is great in Krabi City, Thailand, within walking distance of the night market and plenty of local and westernised restaurants.
The rooms are clean and the air con worked well. I booked a standard room with air con but was given an air con room which was for a family due to a booking error. Free upgrade! Staff are friendly, especially the owner who I had a chat with one night after the front door was closed at 10pm.
I’m not sure about the quality of the WiFi as I never connected, but the SSID and password are on the room key tag.
Room key and front door key provided for entering the building after hours.
Would come back if I’m in the area again.
The staff were so lovely! And very helpful
Beds were good, room size was good! The toilets and showers were big
Had to pay more for air con but it was very good. Near a night market and lots of shops.
This is the worst hotel. The beds are spring mattresses and you can feel the springs! The hotel is VERY VERY HOT! No window in my room and it was like sleeping in an oven! The hotel is tile with no decor so any noise get magnified 10X. The doors to the rooms either scrap the floor or need new hinges so the sound was so loud it sounded like they were moving furniture ALL NIGHT LONG. My son even said it sounded like a truck was unloading a shipment below us!! NO TOILET PAPER NOR SOAP OR TOILETRIES! They have a city metal fence that locks at night so if there were a fire I don't know how everyone would get out at night. (USA standard wouldn't allow for this.) The owner offered to call a cab for our early morning flight. Said it would be 300bht. DIDN'T CALL! We waited and his wife sleeps on the lobby floor called us a cab finally..She said it was $350 Bht! Thank God she was there or we would have missed our flight, but the price was higher...THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS IT WAS CLEAN. For the price, this hotel was absolutely terrible.
My husband and I booked to stay here for 13 nights but stayed physically in the hostel for about 4 of these using this hostel as a base to explore the area (Khao Sok and islands) and travel a bit lighter leaving our main luggage in the room.
The hostel is clean and rooms spacious and never felt busy or noisy. Shared bathroooms always free.
Would have scored this a 4 as our fan room (35) got crazy hot so if staying for longer an air con room would be better but scored a 5 as the staff were lovely and helpful particularly the owner ( sorry did don’t get his name). He helped booking lots of our onward travel advising us cheapest way and even suggesting not to always book there and then as cheaper elsewhere awesome!
Location is great food on the doorstep, both evening and night markets within 5-10 minutes walk depending on which ones you go to.
Overall an amazing stay for £5.50 a night approx
