Booked here for two nights but checked out after the first night!
On entering the reception area, the windows looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in MONTHS let alone weeks. They were filthy, not a good first impression when entering the reception area.
The receptionist gave us our key and pointed us in the direction of our room. On entering the room, it looked dated, not a problem had it not have been for the dust on the furniture. You could have written your name on it and I’m not exaggerating.
The drain in the shower area didn’t have a cover, just a hole leading to the drain, the toilet seat area wasn’t very clean, no stopper in the sink and underneath seating area and bed were thick with dust. Photos don’t lie!
On a positive note, the air conditioning was good and there was plenty of hot water and the bed was clean.
First off, the hotel doesn't have an elevator so if you have a big heavy luggage and you're only 5feet tall, you have to ask the man from the front desk to help you with that. 👀 (of course!). Anyway, I wasn't expecting anything nice but when they opened my room (located at the top floor), wow! It was designed beautifully, almost similar to a 4 star hotel.
definitely not a 5 star resort but it serves it purpose as a venue to have a good night sleep and continue to explore Hua Hin on the next day. the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. air condition was cold enough and although the toilet was abit too small for comfort but it still serve its purpose.
no lift but the nice staff will help you to bring your luggage to the room. car park is directly infront of the hotel - so there will be limited parking space if there are too many cars around. with the cheap price you paid, this hotel is good for a good night rest after exploring hua hin.
Nicha Hua Hin was a locally owned and managed hotel. It is actually a 4 storey shop lot turned hotel. The Deluxe room was spacious and very clean. The super king size bed was very comfy, not too hard and not too soft. At least 4 pillows given. Good water pressure and shower was very hot after turning the tap for awhile. Also provided a flat LED TV, DVD player (believe it or not), fridge, safebox, excellent air-con and a kettle. Everyday they will replenish 3 bottles of 500ml mineral water and coffee and tea FOC. Provided free WiFi as well. The WiFi was super fast because every floor has a separate modem. The lady manager including the staffs were very friendly but limited usage of English. The room cleaner did a great job tidying the room spot clean. Despite the pro mention above, there are at least 2-3 disadvantages. The disadvantage of the hotel is there is no elevator to higher floors. The bathroom shower is almost directly pointing to the toilet bowl, so it is always wet. Some guest may find it ackward but it is fine with me. The location of the hotel at Soi 98 is rather far walking distance to Market Village and night market. Walking is 10-15 minutes at most and it is easy to get a Songthaew just by standing on the main road for B10 during day time and B15 after 7pm. The beach was just 5 minutes away by crossing the road to Soi 77. At the opposite road of the hotel, you can also catch Songtaew to Khao Takiab (B20), Floating Market (B20) and Wat Huay Mongkol (B40). I would highly recommend any tourist to stay here despite it being a little far out from downtown. However it is my advice that you make online reservation with Agoda, Expedia or HotelClub because it is much cheaper than walk in or thru the hotel website. During low season, online reservation will get you around USD25 net without breakfast for a Deluxe room vs B1400/night if you walk in or thru hotel website.
Stayed at the Nicha Hua Hin for 26 Nights, and as usual had a great stay, mostly big big thanks to staff, front desk, being A, and peach, the hotel rooms very nice, cleaned every day, towels every day, bedding every 2nd day, also very safe at the nicha, cameras everywhere and always staff on duty 24 hours. I have stayed here 3 times now, but i here that the old owner died last year, and there is a new owner taken over, and he/she very greedy as they want to put up the price very soon. I pay 1000 baht per night, but this new owner wants to put price up to 2000/2500, if that happens i not stay there anymore as there our better hotels for that price at hua/hin, and closer town the town so saving on the tuk tuk fares. why our the Thai people getting so greedy?. my message to the new owners is don't get so greedy unless you give the hotel new paint new cupboard space in rooms. the staff you got there now are beautiful and fantastic, you should give them all a pay rise
