We were there in July 2020, right after the country opened the border for tourism.

We were the only guests in the hotel. The decoration is beautiful, and staff is extremely friendly and always smiling! The food is amazing as well, you need to try the Samaki fish. I think it was the best restaurant of our whole trip in Tanzania.
Beds are very comfortable. Room decoration is simple, big bathroom. Definitely recommend!! Thank you :)

We stayed here for one night upon our arrival in Tanzania and loved it! Our experiece here included hot water shower, nicely decorated rooms, beautiful gardens, great meals, and very good staff. We really wanted to book a day room at the end of our safari but didn't have enough time for that!

Stayed for one night before beginning our safari. Very nice property, and staff excellent too (maybe a little too over eager to please). Individual room/villas, very comfortable. Has a pool but didn't try, we ate late lunch by it tho. There are two cons to this place though, the first is (when we were staying on a idyllic Sunday), there is a crazy pentacostal church which backs onto the property so there is a lot of noise - hysterical shouting and talking in tongues craziness which no one seems to talk about. Also though the food is good and tasty, its mainly western in nature and comes at western prices, which is a bit rude as you don't know the area to go outside the property to eat (and eat safely).

Do you have hair dryers in the room? Do you have an adapter in the room?
Answer from PlanetLodges
May 2017 |
Thank you for considering a stay with us. While we do not have hair dryers in each room, we have several dryers at the front desk for clients to borrow on demand. All in room plugs are English but we also carry a few adapters at the front desk for you to borrow while staying with us. We also stock adapters for purchase in the curio shop in case you wish to have your own for use here and beyond. I hope this answers your questions... feel free to email us if we can answer further questions. Asante sana! Eva for Planet Lodge Team.

Do you have hair dyers in the room? Also, do you have an adapter?
Answer from PlanetLodges
Jan 2017 |
Dear Gay L, Thank you for considering us for your stay in Arusha! Yes, we have adapters that you can borrow at reception. You can also purchase adaptors from the curio shop. With regards to dryers, we don't provide those in the room, instead we keep hair dryers at Reception for guests to borrow for free. Kindly advise if we can answer further questions or assist you. I look forward to welcoming you to Planet Lodge! With kind regards, Lilian
