The lodge is at the calm place no noises, we arrived late but receptionist was awake , the room was clean and hot water shower available, staff were very helpful, we enjoyed the breakfast was super, when I will return to Tanzania after covid-19 will stay there again and I recommend to any traveler will visit Arusha to stay Planet Lodge which is out of city center.
We were there in July 2020, right after the country opened the border for tourism.
We were the only guests in the hotel. The decoration is beautiful, and staff is extremely friendly and always smiling! The food is amazing as well, you need to try the Samaki fish. I think it was the best restaurant of our whole trip in Tanzania.
Beds are very comfortable. Room decoration is simple, big bathroom. Definitely recommend!! Thank you :)
We stayed here for one night upon our arrival in Tanzania and loved it! Our experiece here included hot water shower, nicely decorated rooms, beautiful gardens, great meals, and very good staff. We really wanted to book a day room at the end of our safari but didn't have enough time for that!
On arrival we were welcomed with lovely staff with a juice and snack while we filled in our documentation, the decore was great, food lovely, staff friendly and welcoming. Comfortable bed and room very generous size.
Stayed for one night before beginning our safari. Very nice property, and staff excellent too (maybe a little too over eager to please). Individual room/villas, very comfortable. Has a pool but didn't try, we ate late lunch by it tho. There are two cons to this place though, the first is (when we were staying on a idyllic Sunday), there is a crazy pentacostal church which backs onto the property so there is a lot of noise - hysterical shouting and talking in tongues craziness which no one seems to talk about. Also though the food is good and tasty, its mainly western in nature and comes at western prices, which is a bit rude as you don't know the area to go outside the property to eat (and eat safely).
