The hotel was clean and tidy, with the room being pleasant. There is a swimming pool but it was too cold to use. The restaurant served good food. The reason I did not rate this hotel higher was because there was no hot water when needed. The staff knew that I had an early start yet they did not have the water switched on. Also they knew I had to leave at 6.15 am yet there was no one in the restaurant to make me tea or toast, despite earlier assurances.

Stayed here for just one night to visit Ranthambhore National Park. Good room, nice pool although pretty cold in February.
They showed us a film on Tigers in the evening while we were eating our dinner outside on the lawn.
Reasonable breakfast, made to order (no buffet available when we were there)
Good bar, fair menu.

We spent 3 nights at the Raj palace and hade a great room whit nice unlimited hot water, tv, fridge, great beds. A nice pool and really clean and nice rooms and area. Bar and restaurant with room service. We booked safari at the hotel and saw Tigers. The staff is wonderful and professional and very service minded. Restaurant has buffet some nights.

We chose this hotel as a mid-range base for two days of attempted tiger spotting in Rathhambhore National Park. It is close to the railway station, a factor in our picking it as we could walk from the station. Despite our train being delayed and a late arrival the restaurant served us a lovely dinner. The delicious food and attentive assistance of Mr Hemraj was a highlight of our stay; it was such a good experience we ate three times in the hotel restaurant, including lunch in the garden on our last day.

We booked one safari through the hotel and another with a very helpful agency/shop right next door. Unfortunately we didn't find the hotel reception staff very helpful at safari booking or for information in general, although this may have been due to the language barrier. The hotel itself is a little worn. In particular, the bed sheets had definitely seen better days and the bathroom was leaky and run down. However, this was balanced out by the good value for the room, the beautiful pool and garden, and the atmospheric fire baskets in the evenings by the bar. They also screen a tiger documentary each night, which helps build up the anticipation of seeing the big cats in real life.

Let me first talk about the positive, the wow factor which is food. The food they served in the restaurant was amazing. The folks who were serving the food were also too good. Kudos to all of them, thank you guys.

Now coming back to the most important thing overall experience.

I felt like a hotel of 80s or 90s. No process in place for anything. If you. The room which I got was smelly, did not have hot water, dis not have heater(I asked for a heater many times).
The room Was not cleaned before accepting us inside. The same sheets, blankets which the previous guests used were given to us.

I would like to rate 1/5 due to my overall experience.

We were 3 in one room - one double bed and a single bed - so I would ask if they can put 2 extra beds in a room - ours was a big room with enough space.
