This deserves a negative rating

We went to the for 2 days stay and ended up taking full refund without staying

It looks very diff from the pics they have only taken pics of the good places and let me tell they are very small

The fake water fall is not a pool it's all rocky you can swim in that
Water is super dirty

Food is cooked in an unhygienic place
All flies in the eating area and no chairs were available

When we asked the staff they keep running from there to avoid the guests

We have to start yelling at them then they paid attention then also not much was done to fix the problem

So we asked for refund that took another long argument with the staff
The manager/owner never came up to speak about the issue and we only stayed in one of the room for 1-2 hours max in which the electricity stopped working and then after a long argument with Goibibo and hotel manager over phone which lasted 6-8 hours we finally got the refund around 7-8 pm

Another couple with a kid had the same problem and also took one day refund and chose to go to another place next morning

They ask you to pay 2k as a deposite for fine incase you break anything and they will try to charge you for anything

We stayed in 1 room out of 4 that we booked and just sat on bed for sometime while leaving from there they tried to charge us for some broken pipe which we have no idea about

In all this AC was working electricity was not there for 2-3 hours

The owner came out later when we denied to pay any fine yelling at us that you should have left if you didn't like the property I would have sold it given the fact that he could have refunded the money any time

Also the staff was pathetic since none of them have a damn about any complaints or request starting with us asking for chairs at the restaurant and ac not working and electricity. They would just go away thinking someone else will do the work for them or magically it will get resolved

Even when the discussions were going on some guy would leave to call another and then never return

I have stayed at many hotels 5 stars to dometeries and no hotel is more pathetic or even close to this

This is the worst hotel ever

Even drinking water is very limited - just 2 half bottles - and if you want chilled water - then you have to buy your own.

ROOM: was O. K. - just okay though the pics look great !! The bed occupied the entire breadth of the room - you can only climb on the bed from the feet-side.
I reached at 5.30 early morn - to a resort in total darkness - a watchman woke up reluctantly and made me wait in room until hours later my room was cleared and I could check in. The they had the first surprise for me - though I had paid the full room fare in advance - I was asked for a security deposit - unheard of at hotels & resorts; paid a Rs 1000- which was later refunded. Their reason being that some guests leave the resort without paying their food and beverage bills !

FOOD: Only word is "BAAADD" -quite sad - only saver is the "Masala Kulcha" - really nice. Unda bhurji - after so many years in the industry they showed me how bad an Unda Bhurji can get.! Chicken was smelly too. Then the milk-shake story : I had paid for a strawberry milk-shake - when they served it was 'watery' and could not find the icer-cream - so I asked - they got me some and as I was checking out they served me a BILL (!) for this ice-cream. ! I just paid up - did not want to get into any discussion with the staff who already seemed scared, put-off and so on. I believe the management does not really care for their staff - leading to this disgusting style of service.

The owners seemed very hauty and far far away from "Mehmangiri" - I wonder how such people get into the hospitality (Mehmangiri) industry....God Bless us all!

All in all - a place I will not only NOT recommend , but may even ask my close friends to stay -away if they want to have a good holiday. The loud Hindi music at the pool just put me off when I headed in that direction for a cool dip - after hearing the speakers - I just did a full reverse turn and took off in the opposite direction.

No Hotel industry grading committee will every pass this place for even 2 stars - the owners need a lot of pulling up their socks to do apart from sorting their own attitude towards guests.
God Bless !

Excerpt from my website. On my website, you'll find more detailed reviews, photos, and Vlogs.

This review is about the Theme Park only.

BEEN HERE:
First in 2007, then in 2012, and recently in 2017

OVERALL:
The Theme Park was, earlier, an excellent, natural place, with a huge and well-maintained botanical garden. It did not have that waterfall & pool, but it was still fun to move around a chill out for an entire day. This time I got a very different vibe.

During my latest visit (2017) though (not sure if it was just for that day) the main attraction was the waterfall & pool, and everything else was reduced and made secondary by them. It appeared quite dull to me. The Botanical / Roses garden (I vividly remember) was huge earlier. I have lots of amazing photos of the place from July 2007. Fossil Garden and Horror House had extra charges (Rs. 50/-) but we chose not to go there.

FOOD:
Hardly any options. Tea was okay. Sandwich was very tasteless ('sapak' as we say in Marathi). To make this they took 15-20 mins.

STAFF:
I interacted with at least 4-5 young staff members (in the uniform). They did not seem to be very friendly / helpful / trained.

AMBIANCE:
Well, everything inside is beautiful, no doubt. There were new constructions (since my last visit in 2012), bungalows, and rooms to stay as well. I have not yet stayed in the Luxury Tents / Tree House, but I don't think I would stay there, because there's hardly anything else to do within this Park. I would rather stay amid the main Panchgani / Mahabaleshwar town / market in a Luxury Hotel.

CONCLUSION:
I don't think I'll go there ever again. My impression about this place has gone down.

NOTE:
This review is about the Theme Park only. I cannot comment on the Luxury Tents / Resorts, because I haven't stayed there, but one does get an overall idea from the experience elsewhere.
