This sh*thouse should not be open for paying guests. Instead of sitting at the reception playing mobile games and watching YouTube all day long the owners should invest the guests money in new matresses, bed linen, room paint and repair the bathrooms, which are all desolate and broken.
They don't even change bedsheets after guests or clean the rooms. Disgusting "guesthouse", only interested in making money, totally overpriced. Tear down this building.
After one night with a fan room at Garden House Guesthouse, we upgraded to AC as the room was very warm. Great value for money, and good location. Really enjoyed our stay in Siem Reap. Pub Street is only €1 tuk tuk drive away from the guesthouse.
The room has all the basic amenities you need; comfy bed, hot shower and a decent sized room. The wifi was intermittent and dropped out constantly which was annoying, and our fan fell off the wall due to poor and old fixings. Our private bathroom was reasonable but a little smelly.
The rooms are in a desperate need of modernising but for $8 a night we cant expect too much. The front desk were very nice and helpful.
We stayed for two nights and the room was clean and the beds comfy. Bathroom was ok as the lid of the toilet was broken, but we had hot water in the shower. The only downside was that the fan was too strong and directly onto your face.
Free bottle of water provided and refilled every day. They also come and clean your room if you stay several days.
The staff was nice and helpful. We used their phone to book a tuktuk to visit the Temples and they allowed us to put our beverages in their fridge.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for budget travellers looking for a great place.
Big clean rooms with nice en suite. All the usual luxuries such as minifridge, towels, clothes hangers, TV etc (not often provided in budget rooms). Only cost $8 a night! Ran by a really nice friendly family who are extremely helpful with any questions you may have. Location is a 10-15 min walk from the lively bars which makes it a peaceful guesthouse. Bikes to rent nearby and a really nice cheap place across the road for breakfast.
Definitely the place to stay in Siem Reap
