Room not clean, beds feel like concrete. Staff unfriendly when it comes to payments. At first Us dollar was, on second thought they preferred local Kip at an conversion rate good for them.

Cancelled our booking after a night and checked in at Smile. Far better at almost the same price.

We booked a double room but got a triple, so very much room. Bathroom was big, water was not really warm, more in between. Bed was a little hard. The staff is very friendly and aspecially one guy speaks English very well. Breakfast is good, you can choice different styles of eggs.

We booked the slowboat from Luang Prabang to Hauy Xai with them. We payed 270.000kip each (so 540.000 in total) including tuk tuk drive to the dock. There we got 420.000kip back to buy tickets. In the end the tickets were 220.000kip per person so we had to pay 20.000kip extra. So a lot of money goes to the guesthouse, I advise taking a tuk tuk in the morning and buy tickets yourself at the dock

We stayed here for 6 nights during our time in Luang Prabang. The hostel is quiet and the rooms are clean and actually our double room was quite large, especially the bathroom. The included breakfast is soup, noodle soup and rice, very Lao, with some fresh fruit. The staff is very helpfull. Its a 10 minute walk to the night market and city center, so the location is not very central.

Khammany Backpackers and Khammany Inn are the same Hostel.
I booked this Hostel through the hostel in Vientiane. When I arrived I asked about using the shared kitchen advertised in there facilities list. I was first told no I couldn't use the kitchen as the staff used it for making breakfast etc. Then I was told I can use but only after 10am. The impression I got was they didn't want me using it. I asked to look at the room as I was going to be staying for a week. Reluctantly they showed me the dorm room. It was a 14 bed dorm. I asked to see the bathrooms of which they just ignored me. I went and had a look myself. When I asked where I could switch the AC on and off, they told me the staff only have control of the AC and they will switch it on or off at Thier Convenience. I decided to go to another hostel, of which I found a far nicer one for the same price.

My and my friend stayed in a room with private bathroom. The room was dirty and there was a strong smell of mold especially in the bathroom. The towels smelled like sweat.
The staff was really nice tho and the free breakfast was okay.
After the two nights we spent there we moved to a different Hostel which was way cleaner and we even got a better price.
