Had a double room with balcony and big tv. The WFi worked fine. So the place was perfect for a night or two. There are two showers, one of them seemd broken, couldnt get any water out of it. The other was tiny and very little place for clothes.
I overall recommend hostel capital, but I would not choose it again. The stuff is friendly, the place is quite clean for a hostel. There are plugs next to the beds and reception 24h. I found a room quite small and was missing a sort of common living room since the one at the reception is only a little space.
Tea and coffe are free of charge and the water is hot (unlike many other places!), payment in EUR is accepted (change will be given in dinar).
My recommendation would be to put curtains around the beds so privacy would be better:)
The hostel is 1 min walking from Skadarlija street (a famous and traditional serbian street) which has a lot of restaurants and interesting places.
The host was very nice with us, awake all the time for our late hours (sorry about that) and the check-out was flexible. You can lock your baggage in the room.
We booked the whole 8 beds room for the New Years Eve. Beds were comfy, everything was clean.
Price was also very good.
Definitely recommend it !!
Hostel Capital is well located, in the hearth of Belgrade and in its bohemian quarter Skadarlja. I have been in a double room with sharing bathroom. The room and bathroom was clean and user-friendly. The breakfast is not included, but there is a little kitchen, well equipped.
This hostel has comfy beds, good wifi, is close to the pedestrian street, and many restaurants and bakeries are nearby. The brother-duo team who work there are kind, helpful and inquisitive. They take the time to get to know their guests, interacting and conversing with them. I get the impression the brothers don't like to clean, and often the garage bins would overflow, the kitchen was left with dirty dishes (theirs) and the bathroom would mysteriously run out of toilet paper.
It is located on a quiet and narrow street.
In the back of the hostel, there is a special smoking room as well as a terrace off that room; this pretty much limits where a non-smoker can hang out. There are a few chairs, a low table and a TV in the common space next to the small kitchen in the main part of the hostel. Besides one's own dorm room, this is the only place to be for someone who doesn't want to be near the smoker's den.
Overall, it's definitely a good place to stay and if you like chatting with the locals, Bojan will be happy to oblige. He's funny, talkative and quite knowledgable on many subjects.
