I stayed 2 days in the hotel. The room was small but it had all the basic things needed. It was clean but some ants were spotted in the bathroom. The staff was helpful and I extend my thanks to them for their effort.
The Internet sped was awful, we are in Singapore and we cannot videochat.
I expected more to be honest.
I checked in with my family to this hotel. Hotel staff, a young lady is super helpful. The hotel is located very near to Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Lots of restaurants around and even a small super market. Room is clean and staffs are very helpful. I would recommend for anyone to stay in this hotel.
Hotel was reasonably clean but there were a couple of things unsatisfactory. We booked and checked into 2 adjoining rooms for our adult son and daughter but they didn't have a key for us to open the adjoining door so we had to ask them to open it as after each time it was locked. Rather annoying. Also, our kid's room coffee add tea wasn't replaced daily. Only ours was because they said it wasn't a double room!!!! Kid's bathroom sink edge was dirty and had a shower curtain instead of door. Lord second rate! Also, we left a letter with them to post back to us which we still haven't received but paid the postage for. I strongly suspect they didn't post it. Not happy at all!!!
The rooms were compact with dusted walls,non-sealing curtain as shown in pictures and with few channels unavailable in the room mgmt provided. complained about the same but walls were cleaned where as other faults weren't rectified. After taking up the matter to the manager, they changed me to another room which was better. The hotel provided free drop off service at regular intervals to outram mrt but no pick up. whereas china town mrt is walkable distance of max 15 mins(850m).
the toilets were hygienic.
the buffet breakfast and dining restaurant service is awful. buffet breakfast charge is SGD15 with no varieties. cereals were sweetened ones, when requested for warm milk. Lady said no instantly later gave me milk which wasn't regrigerated. Had dinner, it was awful and charged hefty. Chinese hawker centre is close by and clarke quay is walkable distance.
The compact rooms are fine for one but don't try to share it unless you are on very good terms with that person. To keep the standard room from being too small, the hotel sacrifice storage space which can be a bit off putting. There is no closet and only a couple of small drawers, suitable only for a few pieces of underwear. On the other hand the room does sport one of the best showers in terms of the force and area of the hot water it sprays. For me this made up for the lack of storage. (Coming in from the hot, humid bathwater which substitutes for air in Singapore, it is a relief to be able to wash everything off cleanly.) Otherwise, the women at the desk are friendly and helpful. The Chinatown MRT (train station) is about a ten minute walk which takes you all over the city quickly and in relative comfort. (The hotel also apparently has a shuttle service as well.) Buy a one, two or three day unlimited ticket for convenience and economy. There are also plenty of nearby hawker stalls to feed yourself at very low cost. Considering the price I paid this was a terrific deal. Oh, use the City Airport Shuttle service to get there. Only 9 Singapore dollars each way. Tickets can be purchased online or at the airport. This provides door to door service.
