We stayed in the Yafour for 2 nights as part of a Voyages Jules Verne tour of Syria. We were a little disappointed to find the hotel was about 45 minutes out of Damascus. The check-in process was quite quick, probably as all our our details had already been provided by the tour company. It was quite late when we arrived and a few of our party fancied a drink before bedtime. They went into the lounge bar but the staff said there wasn't a bar in the hotel. Several of our party bought bottles of water and each paid a different amount. One couple were quoted the equivalent of £12 (UK)! Needless to say they decided to wait until we went on our tour the next day.

Our rooms were in the block to the left of the main building. There was some building work going on near-by although it didn't affect us. We had a twin room which was neutrally furnished and in good condition. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower.

We were only there on a bed and breakfast basis and we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast. There was juice and cereal but little choice of breads and hot food. What we found quite strange was that the staff put out a large basket of toast on the buffet table which obviously got cold within minutes. We were there shortly after it was put out and it was barely lukewarm.

When we returned to our room after breakfast to collect our things before going out on our tour, all the towels had been taken out of our room by the cleaning staff and dumped in the corridor. The new towels weren't in place so it meant you had nowhere to dry your hands after using the bathroom - not ideal!

In general, the hotel itself appeared quite nice but could be a lot better with a bit more attention to detail.

the greatest place i've ever stayed in syria.
the resort is full of avtivities like swimming pool, bowling , snooker, deliciouse food , great service, it's near to damascus about 20 minitues by car, it's near to the mountains areas also around 20 minitues far. you just need to have a car .
everything was great. i will stay there again.
the value was 6000 sp per night for a single room and 11000 sp per night for suit. which is a great value according to the hotel prices in damascuse.
