From the moment the boat was anchored on the shore we felt at home. The cool breeze on the cloudy day didn't take away from the experience. A cocktail welcome by friendly owner made us feel like personal guests.

We especially loved the turtle shaped swimming pool and the bar and the excellent buffet at lunch.

We spent a fabulous day here. The ferry, lunch and use of the facilities are 50,000 CFA which was well worth it. The 20 min boat ride gets you there by 10am and takes you back at about 5pm. The food was delicious, the beach beautiful and not crowded and they had a nice pool area if you want to be more social. Incredibly relaxing day.

We had a three night stay at the resort to round of our three years of living in Gabon. Having visited quite a few other hotels, resorts and parks in the country, we can safely say that the quality of service, accommodation and food at the Baie des Tortues was the best we experienced in Gabon. All the staff we encountered were professional and friendly. We stayed in one of the new rooms/bungalows and loved the decor and the standard of the facilities. We also very much enjoyed the guided rainforest walk, game drive and whale-watch trips that we did. Our guides were excellent, knowledgeable and professional - and we were pleasantly surprised by the forest and the wildlife considering that we were only a 20-minute boat ride from the city of Libreville. The beach was clean and the new swimming pool was impressive. A wonderful way to end our time in Gabon.
