Write a reviewI only went to this hotel because the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed.It was full of people, both Ethiopians and foreigners.It is an interesting memento of a bygone age, but I peeped into one room and has obviously aged a lot and lacking in comfort.
The restaurant offered both Ethiopian and European food: they do not have enough staff, so the service was flow and the food just about passable.

This so called hotel is a disgusting mess
The room I was shown had damp on all the walls the bathroom (use this word loosely) as there was no light no water and the toilet was broken in 3 places and hand prints in poo on the wall
I asked for a better and was shown a non en suit room in the main building. Little better shower cold and only worked intermittently was shared by 5 rooms that included the only toilet again , no water and broken.
There are no stars as trip advisor dose not have negative stars !!

1. Do not stay at this hotel.
2. Rooms are hidious, unmaintained and dirty.
3. We asked for their best room and got the the worst room we had on our trip, and we are backpackers.
4. No wifi, not for free and nor for pay
5. No hot water, and sometime no water at all
6. Valuables should be kept in a safe at reception, since the room is not safe enough even when locked.
7. Do not go to this hotel.

Beautiful building, breathtaking view, legendary past. But to actually stay there? Prison conditions. We shivered under the rough heavy blankets and we eventually both got sick from the cold room. One single worn towel was provided for the two of us, fortunately we had brought our own. The toilet lacked its top lid and was dripping loudly and constantly. The bathroom door couldn’t be closed from the outside. The beautiful sound of rain was frequently interrupted by a loud generator that turned on whenever electricity dived. Wifi costs money and hardly works. Nice staff, but the overall feeling is that no one cares about this hotel.

I was robbed at the back yard last year, it is not safe especially for foreigners/visitors.
and this time even worse. I had to wait more the ten minutes to use the dirty bathroom. their hospitality and the food is also poor, no room service and hygiene, we had to pay extra dollars for parking and the manager even threatened us when we complain.
