This is a gorgeous home! My room was lovely, nicely appointed, with beautiful furnishings. Very comfortable and calming. The breakfasts were good and they made me omelets special. There is a rooftop deck and lots of common space inside.
It's in the medina, about a 20-minute walk from the center square. This is fine unless you need to go back and forth! But don't worry about getting lost--the riad has excellent, custom, turn-by-turn maps to get you from the medina walls to the riad and the riad to the square. You just need to take your time and pay attention to landmarks.
Most important, service was excellent. In particular, the hotel owner went far out of his way to return a souvenir I had purchased but accidentally left in the riad. I cannot express how attentive he was--emailing back and forth for 2 months while I worked out the shipping logistics, and then physically bringing it to a friend to ship.
Stayed 1 night at this Riad. It's in medina. The french couple were very nice and friendly. She took my sister out to buy some stuff and exchange money which we were thankful. Breakfast was simple. We left early morning. The room was too conjusted. No place to put our stuff. Wouldn't even walk around. Felt suffocated. We had to open the door small windows in our room. The bathroom was very small too but cute. We had ordered lunch so food was good. They have nice terrace on the top. Riads are not my cup of tea.
Riad Irene made me feel like home.
Pascal and Irene are such a great hosts.
They explained to me right from the first day everything I need to know about how to get to the main tourist places, they gave me a very easy map to using. Even before to arrive they sent me an email with all the details and they sent a taxi driver to pick me from the airport, who was waiting for me more than 2 hours, because the flight was delayed. And even if I arrived late in the night, the man who worked at Riad Irene came to pick me from the taxi (is needed to walk like 2 minutes from the point till where the taxi can drive to the Riad).
When I came to the Riad in evening, the next day, Irene and Pascal greeted me and asked about my day. I had the feeling I just arrived home. They are very nice and friendly.
The room and the terrace are very nice. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I had breakfast at 6 o'clock one day, but that was no problem for the staff. They just prepare the breakfast at what time you need.
One day in the morning, the man who's working to Riad walk with us to the car who was waiting for me (because I've booked a trip) to be sure I will find the way.
Everything was just great.
I recommend Riad Irene to everyone and I would like to go there again.
Thank you very much Irene, thank you very much Pascal for the great services.
We stayed at Riad Irene in the old town for 7 nights and we were made so welcome by Pascal and Irene. The accommodation was charming and it was great to wake up to the natural light flooding through to the courtyard that our room opened onto. Pascal and Irene gave useful advice and helped us to arrange trips. We ate in the Riad on a couple of evenings and the food was the best we had throughout our stay in Marrakech. Highly recommended. In summary, a great stay with wonderful hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed for two weeks in this wonderful, friendly and very different Riad. Irene and Pascal made us very welcome, not forgetting Zakia and Abdou. A small oasis in the Medina. No problem with booking trips for us, Atlas Mountains worth a visit. Food was Moroccan which was fantastic then up to room, done in floating chiffon and very comfortable. Love to go back.
