A nice hotel to spend a weekend in Eretria. Hotel staff is friendly and the rooms come in all sizes and shapes. Most of them have a kitchenette rather poorly equipped.
The pool is small but well maintained and there is also an even smaller kiddie pool.
A pool bar will provide all necessary stuff, to spend a relaxed hour during the evening.
The nearby beach is within 5' walk from the premises. The commercial center of Eretria, is close too.
Prices are normal for its size and rate.
We stayed for 10 days in eretria with the goal of alternating hiking activities and chilling. Sunrise had both hotel and appartment opportunies, we stayed in an appartment. It was cleaned daily including clean towels, which made the stay there very comfortable. Though the bed was a bit hard and the fridge made a lot of noise, I would recommend this place because of the nice and warm people running the place.
We stayed at the end of September, just out of the season, thus had the pool almost to ourselves. Time didnt matter and the fact that there were almost no other guests neither, there was always someone to help us.
Not satisfied at all. Mold under the sink. Broken toilet cap. Broken bed. The only nice think was the pool. I wouldn't recomended at all. I was told there was view at the sea, but we hardly could see a small part of aegean sea.
The family running the Sun Rise really make everyone feel special - I have traveled a lot around the world and stayed in various hotel categories but always feel at home at the Sun Rise.
The rooms are adequate, functional and always very clean and I just love the pool area. There is always a lovely warm atmosphere at the Sun Rise, down to the genuine caring nature of the owners.
I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Eretria.
Nice hotel, close to the beach, not brand new but renovated bathroom and new mattresses, very clean ,super friendly staff, nice breakfast at the pool and the most beautiful rose garden I have ever seen 😍
