Great location but no view with all the rains. Corner suite was great spacious room. Tried to extend visit by a day guy at front desk said ok. Came back to make the booking 2 hours later Cindy at front desk said our room was booked. No offer of alternatives so we had to book elsewhere. Trust me the place was not busy as only 3 couples at brekky and 4 cars in carpark. Same problem at dinner - can we book table by window. No we only have 1 table left. Turn up and the place is half full and get the window table. Restaurant is great but too rushed for a romantic dinner. All the extra facilities are next door at lillianfels.

Stayed in here for my wedding anniversary/babymoon. Can't decided whether to go with this one or at the sister hotel Lilinfels, so we decided to stay at both hotel during this trip.

Echo boutique hotel is a really small, stylish and quiet building that located right next to the big Lilianfels resort. Compare to Lilianfels busy, this hotel is charming and I found it is very quiet. Maybe because there are only 14 rooms here (each with views) and therefore there was significant less traffic.

Stayed at Lawson (yes each room has its own name). It is a relative small room, but with amazing view. This place is pricy, but it is one of its kind and the location is unbeatable.

Because I booked this place at last min, SPA was fully booked (make sure you book one month in advance!!) I spent nearly most of my stay here just to sit on the balcony, sip a tea, enjoy some snacks while enjoy the view.

The front desk manager Bryant add a personal touch to this stay. He delivered a cute chocolate plate to us after he noted that this is our wedding anniversary and shared some of his personal story with us. It really make it as part of the experience.

Some information about this place:

facility: Echoes share the facility with Lilianfels. it do not have its swimming pool/gym/tennis court, but you can enjoy all these facilities in Lilianfels.

Room: Carpet and wall are outdated looking, room is simple (I won't call it luxury but it is functional). really like the position of the bed, which is right next to the mountain view (yes I woke up at 6:30 and managed to watch sunrise in the valley on my bed!!!)

Balcony: The delux room is small but with a balcony.I can see why some of the review here were not too happy about the balcony because it is sort of like a shared balcony with some nice partition and does have a little bit of privacy concerns if you don't close the blind (I am sure my next door can see me lay on the bed if she wanted hahaha). But if you close the blind all the time, you won't be able to enjoy the view. I would imaging this would be sooo nice to have a small wedding here though!

Bathroom: decent size, I really love the big mirror there, the view outside reflect on the mirror in the bathroom!

Location: 1 min away from this hotel is the Katoomba hiking track!!!

overall suggestion is go for the view and unique stay, this is definitely the one. If you really want some intimacy, might think about the balcony situation see whether that would be an issue. Lilianfels do not have much view but has bigger and more polished room with more privacy.

Definitely will come back later!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. Room was magic just wanted to stare out at the view from our picture window all day long. Dining and breakfast was exceptional, couldn't fault quality or service. To end our escape I left my rings behind after leaving and they assisted me greatly with getting my rings back so I couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

What a lovely hotel nestled right on the fringe of the Blue Mounrains world heritage site. Very chic and boutique. Nice and quite for a romantic stay. We stayed in the premium Corner suite and our stay was for 2 nights mid week. Nice modern amenities with the only negative being the open shower which led to the rest of the bathroom floor often being flooded. The use of the pool and other facilities next door at lilianfels is an added bonus. Our package included breakfast and a 3 course dinner on one night. Breakfast on one of the mornings was held next door at Lilianfels and the other in the Echo restaurant. Nice a la carte options in addition to a selection of continental type offerings in which you could choose as much as you liked. Food was first class with the wonderful ambience and the view adding to the occasion. So glad we decided to spend time at this hotel and only wish we could of spent longer.
