Carol our host was charming and welcoming. Stayed in the one bedroom cottage. Great layout with lovely views, very comfortable bed and reclining lounge chairs. Large bathroom. Plenty of good coffee options in the well thought out kitchen, let alone the ice cream on arrival. Would stay here again

Really enjoyed our stay in the one bedroom cottage. It was spotless and the owners took great pride in their cottages. It was well equipped and we were able to barbeque every evening. Bed was comforatable and we loved the big chairs.

If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay in the country, this is it. Carol, the host, was very friendly and informative. The room was well appointed with everything we could need. The pool was lovely and relaxing. While you need a car to get there, it is really easy to find and only 4 or 5 minutes to either Hastings or Havelock North. We had a fantastically relaxing two days here and will definitely come back to stay whenever in Hastings again. Thanks Carol.

These cottages are located about 5 minutes from both Hastings and Havelock North in a lovely quiet country location. Host Carol was so welcoming and once shown around the amenities, we were left to enjoy our stay, but she was always easily reachable if/when we needed something or had a question to ask. A lovely chat or two with her was a bonus!

We stayed in the one-bedroom cottage for 6 nights. It was cosy, spacious, had almost everything we needed, and was comfy. The only thing we really could have done with was a rubber scraper in the kitchen!!

The bedroom had a queen-size bed, with quality bedding. We slept very well. [The addition of a set of drawers and more coat hangers would have enhanced our longer stay, so we could properly unpack and not have to store some things in our suitcases.]

We used the cottage as our base for a week to visit, and be visited by, family. It was lovely that the grandchildren could come over and run around the spacious grass area safely whilst the adults could sit on the veranda and watch them. We were able to use the large BBQ to cook up a shared family dinner on a couple of nights, and the kitchen was used to prepare the rest of the food.

Overall, this was a brilliant place for us to choose to stay for our time in the Hawkes Bay. We usually stay in a motel but this made our time there so much more pleasurable. The cost was comparable to a motel stay.

Yes, we will book in again next year. I think we have found our base when we visit from Australia each year!

Thank you so much for your top review! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have a brand new King bed in the One Bedroom Cottage now (was always a King size though not Queen!) and a new large flat screen TV, new curtains and Roman Blinds, new carpet, the hot water cupboard is a great place to put your clothes on the shelves along with the bedside cabinets, and the cottage has just been painted on the outside so looks a lot smarter now too. We would love for you to come and stay again. Kindest regards Carol and Max
