Chathu and his family + staff are great hosts and do everything in their power to ensure a pleasant and unforgettable stay. Local knowledge, organizing scooters or finding drivers/tuk tuks are just the beginning.
Our room was spacious, clean, had a jungle view and a privat bathroom.
What seperates the Plantation Surf Inn from all other accommodations we have seen on our journey and makes it so special is the social aspect. If you wish, you can have breakfast, lunch and/or dinner at the big table, which is a meeting point for people from all over the world. Shared dinner is the icebreaker for intriguing conversations and beginning friendships.
Do yourself a favor and stay at least a few days here. It will be worth it.

We had a very pleasant stay at the plantations inn. Chathu and his family are very warm and friendly and we felt very welcome. My friend and I have travelled a lot,the service there was the best we have experienced.Every question we had were answered,all our tours were booked by them,we haven't wasted time planning. By the way the surfing lessons were cool and the Safari tour is a must - it was one of the most perfect days of our life - so many elephants ❤️ absolutely amazing! And also the cooking lesson we booked was great. The room was totally fine for the price. The best food we ate in Sri Lanka were at their place, everything we tried was delightful. What a pity we hadn't more time to try the whole menu. We spent there 1 week. And the second week we had another hotel. But in the last days we decided to cancel our hotel and went back to the plantations inn because we really missed chathu‘s place his food and the absolutely perfect service and atmosphere. It’s also perfect for people who are traveling alone - because in the evening you can choose if you want to eat together with all other guest - so it’s a perfect place to meet other travelers...

In 1 month and a half travel, I think this is the best place I stayed in Sri Lanka. Chathu and his family want us to feel like if we were at home everyday. Food is delicious, bedrooms are just what you need, house is 1 mn close to Plantation's surfspot ! You can also stay at Chathu's villa in the middle of the jungle and monkey, just ask him ! You can easily meet and speak to everyone there ! Just love and happiness, I'll come back for sure next time I'll be in Sri Lanka ! Thank you for the thousand times Chathu and everyone 😊🤙🌴

The people managing the guesthouse were very nice and especially Chathu, who made everything to please you, such as negociate some prices, prepare special meals to respect food intolerance, arrange yoga/surf lessons/transport depending on your budget, and he also gave us a room upgrade which was very cool.
Breakfast was very good and with a lot of different options!
Also, dinners at the guest house were really good, and gave us the opportunity to meet the other tourist, and share good time with them.
We appreciated a lot the garden, for reading or resting or chatting.
The guesthouse is also well located, close to a lot of different surf spots within walking distance!
I enjoyed so much that I am planning to come back for my next surf holidays!!

Had the most amazing holiday at Plantation Surf Inn Midigama. Woke up to the beautiful chanting of Buddhist monks. Look out my bedroom window to see the beautiful plantation forest and watch the Monkeys in the trees. Go upstairs to the great rooftop and experience some spiritual yoga with a Buddhist monk. Then head down to have the most delicious breakfast. The food at this place in incredable whether it is breakfast, lunch or dinner. Your host will order you a safe Tuk tuk, drive you all day for very little money. Go shopping, bike ride through rice paddies and along the river and through the small village. Go to beach for an hour, Tuk tuk driver will mind you things and wait for you. Or maybe have lunch the choice is all yours. What more can I say. The Villas are brand new and very comfortable. Was a great relexing holiday.
