Stayed here last night in the deluxe Avalon suite
Absolutely beautiful views from a private terrace with views all the way to Glastonbury tor
Fabulous hot tub Which was great after a long working week
4 poster bed was very comfortable
Huge bathroom with lovely deep bath
Robes to use to
The suite was spotlessly clean as was the terrace and hot tub
We ordered food at the bar which was delivered to our room because of covid and it was delicious
Breakfast also delivered to room but no full English due to covid we were given continental which was fine
Tea coffee making facilities were plentiful
Very quiet peaceful setting so we were able to work on our laptops and also relax and the WiFi was a good connection
Covid restrictions were in place and followed so we felt very well looked after
Great staff at this hotel all very friendly and helpful
We had a door on the terrace which was banging and contacted reception which sent someone to fix it within minutes
Lots of car parking space at the hotel to
Will definitely stay here again as it’s a really lovely place
Only thing I can find fault with is we personally found the tv a bit on the small side
Apart from this a perfect stay and can definitely recommend paying the extra for the Avalon suite

We had been to drop our son off in Lyme Regis for a training course and wanted to have a night away before travelling back home. We chose The Crossways mainly because of the positive reviews and the overall price. We were delighted with our decision as the inside of this wonderful hotel are very impressive. We ended up arriving here at 1pm on 12 Dec and had lunch before going to our room. The food was superb and the staff were excellent. The whole hotel obeyed the Social distancing, masking up and cleanliness policy which would make any guest feel safe and relaxed. After a leisurely afternoon at the hotel we then had a terrific evening meal and both really enjoyed the Lamb Shanks. We both had a lovely evening and slept really well as there was no noise as the hotel is fairly isolated. Breakfast on 13th was again really good and we both had the Full English. We were both very impressed with all aspects of this hotel and really enjoyed our breakaway. We would certainly have no hesitation in staying here again as we both felt safe and at ease. There is ample parking outside which is a bonus. During this Covid-19 pandemic the hotel has installed hand sanitizers at every door way leading onto the premises. Really cant find fault and would highly recommend a stay here. Thank you.

We stayed here for 2 nights - Very dog friendly. The room was amazing, so big and freshly decorated. Fabulous view of Glastonbury Tor from our window. The food was great - the sausage for the dog was a lovely touch. We had dinner here too - that was such good value, great menu, excellent portions and tasted fabulous - Highly recommended

Lovely spacious and clean bedroom with modern bathroom and waterfall shower. Super views of Glastonbury Tor from the bedroom. Service very warm and friendly but at mealtimes it felt a little amateur and they could have done with more staff. I can only imagine that due to Covid they’re not able to employ their full Breakfast, cooked to order was really good.

This was a much needed break after several holidays had been cancelled due to Covid 19. The hotel was in a small hamlet with very narrow one car width lanes. It was lucky we had sat-nav because I dont think we would have found it otherwise. It is however well placed for all the places that tourists want to see. The building is very nice both inside and out. Our room (124 was on the 1st floor) was spacious, clean, with a nice modern shower. The bed was comfortable, there was refreshments, a hairdryer a tv and was quiet. The restaurant and bar were clean, well laid out due to Covid rules and the staff friendly and helpful. The view from our bedroom was over the car park but as we were on the first floor we didnt really see it. What made the view was Glastonbury Tor in the distance, and with a zoom camera very close photos could be taken. Sadly wi-fi connection is poor in this area of Somerset but this was not pointed out by the Hotel until I queried at reception. Breakfast was very nice and there was a good choice. However, the dinner menu , although varied, consisted of mainly burgers, pizzas etc with few salads or traditional meals. As someone on a Slimming World diet it was difficult for me to find a suitable meal, so had to eat out during the day. When we checked out the Hotel did explain that their Chef had been furloughed and had only just returned the day we left. Sadly we missed a much better menu. We would however return for a further stay once the Covid crisis is over. Our visit was before staff were told to wear face masks.

I did not stay in either suite, so cannot comment on their state of refurbishment. Of course it depends why you are staying in that area - I would not say that Crossways is a 'destination hotel' in its own right. 0 seconds ago
