I stayed here for two nights with my mum in a twin room. The room is beautifully decorated with coffee making facilities and a good size bathroom. The food in the evening was outstanding. we decided to eat here two nights in a row as there was enough choice on the menu to do so. both evenings the meals were delicious home-cooked food. It’s in a great location with lots of walks in Yorkshire Dales and close to Smardale nature reserve for a bit of red squirrel spotting.

Great local pub

Stayed here overnight on way back from the Lakes. Room was comfy if a bit small(too much furniture?) but the welcome, food and beers were terrific. It’s family run so everyone was helping out but we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.

Absolutely fantastic village pub in Nateby. We were stopped from exploring the local area due to the torrential rain, so we made for the bar after we had checked in to our room. The staff were really friendly and very chatty, and the service was superb with the drinks being very reasonably priced. We ate here and the food was of a very high quality and very tasty. It’s always a good sign when every table in the restaurant is reserved. Breakfast was also delicious, with choices of different juices etc,. Definitely one to visit if you’re in the area

Stayed here due to a wedding nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom had been newly removed and the shower was good. There’s only a few rooms so it’s small and quiet. My only criticism was the size of the room coupled with the large furniture. Getting ready for a wedding without much space wasn’t that easy but not the end of the work. We ate here one evening too so definitely book a table the food was lovely!
Breakfast was good, a proper full English, plenty of juice, tea/coffee and also cereal on offer. Service was speedy and friendly.
Properly little pub B&B just what you’d expect.

Stayed here overnight on our way to the highlands. Lovely well equipped room, with comfy bed. Food was delicious, and a lively breakfast.
There is a good dog walk a few minutes drive on the old viaduct where they can turn off lead after a long drive
