This small hotel is very conveniently located just on the edge of the old town and across the road from the railway station (don't worry, the trains were so quiet I never heard one and I'm a light sleeper!). It also has a small, free car part for residents which is handy as otherwise parking a car if you have one could be difficult.
The initial impression as one walks in is that of a dark place but don't let this deter you. The room was spacious and clean, with TV and good, clean bathroom. We got a good nights sleep too, despite the proximity of both busy road and railway station.
We went out for the evening and did not sample the hotel for food or drink. There are lots of great bars and other places to eat on the square or streets nearby, which are only a short walk through what looks like the shopping area.
Breakfast was a large buffet affair with a good spread of different stuff to fill yourself up with for the day ahead.
Friendly, helpful staff too. And there's a lift if you need one.
