LhongKhao was an absolute gem tucked away in a small rural village, Samoeng, about an hour outside of Chiang Mai. The staff were all absolutely above and beyond in trying to make sure we were enjoying our stay. None spoke English, and it wasn't an issue at all. Smiles and laughter were the language we used. Breakfast was great, the room was quaint, and the views were exceptional. The town near by had a 7/11 for western amenities and plenty of cheap, and delicious, local restaurants. Definitely check this place out if you want to spend some time away from everything. A couples dream destination.

I stayed there for 1 night. Samoen is really a small town, nothing to do there except just enjoying the landscape and go in one of the two Restaurants. But: Great area! The Hotel is in the middle of a nursery. Beautiful view! Nice room, but very simple - no aircon, no TV, simple bathroom. But clean. No Restaurant directly at the Hotel. Simple breakfast. Very friendly staff, but like said no Service in the evening. Rather a hostel or a B&B than a Hotel. And that leads to the main disadvantage: Way too expensive for what you normally get at this Price (1900 Baaht)

This place is nice.. The scenery around the resort is fantastic. The room is good. Nice bed and you can see a nice view from your room. Value the money. The staffs are so friendly and helpful :) The location here is great. It is easy to find. We rent the motorbike to drive around. I would love to visit here again.
