We want to send a great big Thankyou to Eileen, Noreen, Donailin and Eoin and the whole team at the Eldon Hotel who gave our daughter, us and our family a wonderful 21st Birthday meal and party on New Years Eve. The menu choice was great and all 30 of us enjoyed the whole evening. The set up in the sun room was excellent and everything was handled very professionally by Noreen and the bar staff and nothing was too much trouble.
See you again when back in Skibbereen,

Old fashioned in a nice way. Our room had good amount of space, large area to hang clothes, half a dozen drawers, bed side lockers with drawers, and a roomy bathroom. It was quite up to date and all worked well. Breakfast offered a good variety of hot meals but was a bit limited on cereals, fruits, etc. Our room had a view onto a line of large cypresses. It needs a better traditional type of lounge.

There was no welcoming smile or greeting, no hot water, a grubby room and no sleep dud to loud male voices under the window until 2am and then bin men from 4am. We moved out! Breakfast was fair and the staff member agreed to report the cold water to the owner BUT the third member of the party who remained for second night reported that it was not fixed!
Since I filed this review, I have spoken with the owner via email. She has apologised profusely for the failures by her staff and the lack of hot water and even though we offered to pay a reduced fee, she has told us there will be no charge and our friend who paid for his stay as he remained for the two nights, will be refunded in full. I feel this to be an honorable resolution to our dispute and wish the hotel an upward journey whilst they upgrade and improve their facilities.

Three star hotel and rated it three! Adequate all round ! In the centre of town and near a couple of great restaurants and bars. Good parking and everything else was average! Room was at the front and had a childs bedroom area.
