It is a digital hotel. If you arrive after 12 am, you should call at the number indicated on your reservation, to receive a password in order to enter. The bathroom is very small. The room is warm, without AC or refrigerator. The hotel has no elevator. The breakfast is very good. Wi-fi signal was perfect. The location is convenient, in a quite area, 5 minutes to the bus terminal, harbor and a big supermarket.
The hotel is on a Street which is primarily a residential area and is thus a quite and comfortable location. The room size and the facilities are average and the location quite convenient ,just 5 -6 minutes from the Lake front.
But the main problem lies with the fact the hotel does not inform the check in procedure before hand and the hotel entrance is locked with no reception inside even if arrive for check in at 1 pm. The neighborhood tattoo shop guy is helpful in contacting the hotel owner to come and open the door for you. This creates problems for overseas visitors whose mobiles may not work or are costly to communicate. This is a greatly undesirable aspect of hospitality - at least one person/staff should be at hotel to allow smooth check in at the routine check in time of 1-2 pm. . Besides the Staff who comes for check in is rather indifferent and does not do anything except giving you the entry code for the main gate.
Hotel is located on a quiet side street around 10 minutes walk from the Hafen railway for and Zeppelin Museum.
On arrival, the door from.tbe street isn't open. As such you are asked to phone up and someone will come down or from the nearby restaurant. Once checked on, door code was explained and I made my way up to the 3rd floor. Note, there is no lift.
I had booked a single room which was perfectly fine for one night. There was no seperate bathroom, instead a shower cubicle and sink in the room. The toilet was shared with two or three other rooms on the same floor.
TV in the room, wardrobe, tea (no coffee) making facilities. Bed was OK but not the best I've had.
Breakfast was a self service buffet on the first floor. Nothing spectacular, but again OK for the price paid.
Located about five minutes walk from the promenade, in a residential area. it seemed safe enough, although we we only there one night.
We found it easy enough. Check in by telephone, they give you passcode and room kets are in a box inside.
Rooms are clean and tidy. the stairwell is a bit tatty, but not unpleasant.
Breakfast was fine.
The rooms are cheap for the area.
If you are looking for simple, low cost, for not too many nights - this is perfectly acceptable.
This hotel is located in a mediocre residential neighborhood with limited amenities nearby. Upon arriving at the hotel at the agreed upon time, we found the door locked and nobody answered. A note on the door instructed us to call a number to get the code to enter the hotel and to obtain our room key. Since we were American travelers, we had no phone to use locally so we were stuck sitting in an alley trying to figure out what to do. Finally, another young lady staying at the hotel had a working phone, and after she got her information we were able to use her phone to obtain ours.
The rooms were clean, but the corner location above a street intersection made it noisy at times. It was difficult lugging baggage up several floors using a narrow spiral staircase.
The breakfast was sparse and the service was limited.
