The B&B is on the fifth floor of an apartment block, around 500 metres from the seafront, and within easy walking distance of all restaurants and other amenities. We had the corner room, which offered a great view across the town to the sea, and up the coast (and a balcony). The room itself was nicely decorated, in blues and whites, and was spotlessly clean. The bed was a decent size and comfortable enough (although the pillows were hard and could do with being replaced, I'd say). The owner, Carmen, never made an appearance during our stay but we were well looked after by her able assistant, Pina. A basic breakfast is included in the price - pre-wrapped pastries etc, and excellent coffee. We opted not to pay the extra €5 per person for the 'upgraded breakfast' (there's a fridge in the kitchen where you can store wine, food etc). We spent four nights in Maiori and were very pleased with our choice of accommodation - even if we had trouble with the key to the property (to the extent that a neighbour came out one evening to help us, and even she struggled!). And Maiori is a very nice place - great beach, and a lot less manic than other places along the coast. Overall, warmly recommended.
We stayed 6 nights in Casa Blu Cobalto and loved our stay!
Carmen made our holiday really enjoyable. She gave a lot of recommendations for Restaurants, sights and nice places. Also the room was very clean and quiet and with a view over Maiori, the sea and the Mountains of Ravello.
Especially the breakfast, freshly made every morning by Carmen, was amazing! Italian specialties and fresh tasty fruits created a very good start into the day.
We will come back to Casa Blu Cobalto, when we stay in Maiori next time.
Ciao
We couldn't have done any better than staying with Carmen at her Casa...we loved the view from the balcony where Carmen served us delicious breakfasts every morning. We were there for 16 days and thought we had good value. Carmen keeps the place super clean. It is only one room but met our needs as we did have the use of a modern kitchen.Carmen is a very lovely person, helpful and sincere. She accommodated our Australian cousins at short notice and prepared for us on their arrival a delightful authentic Italian lunch. There is an elevator and air conditioning also close to the supermarket and took us about 10 mins to walk to the beach and bus stop. We visited many locations along the coast but Maiori was our favourite ( especially if you are a little older) not so many steps to apartments or hotels if you should choose a lower location. There's a long boardwalk and lots of restaurants. The beach is the best of all of the ones on this coast, many beaches are pebble so take your water shoes. Ravello is a beautiful spot to visit but the road is not for the faint of heart! We chose not to drive whilst in Italy, and very pleased to have made this decision.
We had a great cooking class with Chef Carmen at Cucina del Gusto in Sorrento she is so much fun and we had a blast making three different dishes along with ample Prosecco!
This B&B in located near the center of Maiori, close to the bus station that in 15 minutes brings you to Amalfi, which is then connected with all the other villages of the Amalfi coast. The rooms have a nice view on the sea and the town. The room is nicely decorated all in the white and blue tones. Clean and spacious. But the best part is the owner! Very sweet, flexible with the timing and ready to prepare for you a delicious desserts or to give you some suggestion. I will definitely come back!
I stayed a week at Casa Blu Cobalto and loved. The bedroom is a suit, has a fantastic view over Maiori and the sea. The Carmen clean the room every day and is one of the kindest people I've ever met. The breakfasts are incredible and prepared with all the love for Carmen.
Thank you soo much, Grazie mille per tutto, Obrigado por tudo Carmen <3
