After reading some of these awful reviews we were slightly nervous about our visit...HOWEVER we had nothing to worry about! What a little hidden gem...the grounds are gorgeous...plenty of outside space to relax. The owners are lovely, very welcoming and accommodating.
On arrival we asked to switch rooms as our room was slightly small. Pauline happily changed it for us. Lodge 15 is certainly one of the best and would recommend this to anyone. The place is spotless and ground are kept nice. The lodge is very well equipped. Comfy beads and towels are supplied.
We are here for 4 nights and already planning to come back!
Highly recommended and everything you need for a relaxing breakaway!
As for the negative comments...please ignore them! This is a family run B and B where the owners also live, so a little bit of building work etc is bound to be done.
Nothing is too much trouble for Stuart and Pauline and we are certainly giving you a 5/5 and we’re definitely be returning and telling our friends and family!
Vicky and Sarah xx
I booked this room for a work trip. When I turned up it was obvious there was major building work being carried, which WAS NOT stated on the website nor did the owner use her common sense to contact me to let me know prior to my arrival.
The room was horrendously small and run down. The bed and bed covers were absolutely filthy, covered in dust and some sort of debris. What should have been white bed sheets were grey and tatty. Absolutely no way I was putting my face anywhere near those pillows!
There were no curtains or blinds provided to cover the bathroom/toilet window, which looked out onto the work men coming back and forth. A young woman needs her privacy.
There were half full jars of cereal in the bedroom. I believe this was meant to be breakfast?? Who knows if they where safe to be eaten as there were also out-of-date packets of crisps provided??
I did not end up staying at their B&B because it was so bad. I had to find alternative accommodation, which was highly inconvenient. When I asked the woman for a refund she refused. Complaint is still ongoing to try and get my money back. Couldn't PAY ME to stay at this place, let alone charge me £70!
WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!
Nice room with everything we needed, Manager was very friendly and helpful, owner also very friendly, as were the other guests we meet around the pool area..
Really nice heated pool and patio area, plenty of space to sit outside and chill.
Would definitely stay again...
