The Belmont guest house was perfect for my working stay. The owners were very friendly and made me feel welcome at all times.
The house is very close to the centre of town and the lady even offered me a lift to town if I needed.
My room was very comfortable with a very nice en suite bathroom.
Breakfast was very enjoyable and relaxing. A good selection of foods for every taste and plenty of good quality coffee.
I will be booking early on my next visit. Perfect for the business traveller.
We stayed for 4 nights in early September. The rooms are all spotlessly clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and had lovely bedding. The bathroom was large with plenty of hot water, toiletaries and fluffy towels. Our hospitality tray was excellent and included complimentary wine for our first night. Besides our bedroom we could use the dining room sofas during the evening along with a games room or breakfast room. Alcohol and soft drinks are available at cost price. The highlight was breakfast. All fresh items are locally sourced. My husband spoke highly of the bacon. I asked for Isle of Man kippers which were excellent. I also tried homemade kipper pate, again delicious . There was a selection of fresh bread and pastries, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals. All hot food is cooked to order. Plenty of parking for our car in a gated garden. The house and garden are private and quiet at night. There is a large selection of tourist literature and maps. Although we didn't walk into Douglas we understand from other visitors it is an easy walk. Our hosts couldn't be faulted.
We, that is my wife and our dog Sykes spent 10 nights at Belmont this August. The room was extremely clean with every amenity possible. The breakfasts were out of this world I.E. warm rolls and various pastries. If you are going try the Manx kippers for breakfast they are wonderful. The resident dogs are extremely friendly with other dogs and humans .All said it was a BRILLIANT stay.
The room we had was spacious and clean. The service we recieved was outstanding. The host waited for us when our flight was massively delayed, they let us use the fantastic cinema room in the basement before our flight and after our check out.
Great breakfast as well with an abundant selection of pastries. The hosts definitely improved our overall experience in the island!!
It's difficult to write a review without being gushy, but Julie and Phil welcome you into their beautiful home and make you feel part of the family. From its imposing pink facade, the welcome by Reuben and Mabel their labradors, stepping inside is like stepping back in time, but with modern touches. Comfy sofas in the living room, elegant dining room with a fantastic breakfast + don't forget the Manx kippers. Beautifully decorated bedrooms, sympathetic to the style and age of the house. Squishy, comfy bed and a fantastic shower. Little touches like fresh cold water in a flask, a welcome bottle of wine and a honesty bar in the cellar. One big table for breakfast means conversations with visitors from around the world. I cannot praise The Belmont highly enough
