This was a nice hotel and we had a decent stay. Aside from a filthy light in our room and extremely watered down gin in the lobby bar, it was a pleasant stay but I would likely stay elsewhere if i were to return to Helsinki

Stayed here for 2 nights in February.

At check in, I found the reception staff not to be very friendly or welcoming which was a theme during my stay. I wasn’t welcomed as a Hilton Honors member and at check-out I wasn’t asked if I had enjoyed my staff. Not a big issue but sometimes it’s the small things that make a big impact on the overall customer experience.

The room I had was compact but cosy; very comfortable bed with a nice bathroom. I stayed in the room alone but it may have been slightly cramped if two people had been staying there.

The location is a 10 minute walk from the train station and other key sights in Helsinki.

The Exec Lounge is very small indeed but there was a good range of food and drinks with a happy hour that typically lasted 1700-1900 for food and 1709-2000 for drinks, which I thought was good value.

It was a perfect stay for a weekend. Welcome staff, fast services, modern design. They have all you need to treat yourself. I was offered the room with the river view and it was very nice surprise for me.
The swimming pool's bottom floor was not very clean (there were some sand probably after the cleaning of the upper floor). But I saw an information message about annual deep-cleaning from 24th February, so it's normal that sand could gather during the year.
Sliced fruits in the bowl at the breakfast was not fresh (probably it's because of the watermelon).

A lovely large king room booked which met expectations, clean, large and with a bath which you don’t often find these days. Great location, everything in walking distance!
The things which let it down were; to add on breakfast was an extortionate €29pp per day, we ended up going to the local supermarket and picking up warm croissants and yoghurt for €3pp! The other was the reception staff were not that friendly or welcoming, the cleaning staff however always said hello!

We stayed at the Hilton Strand in Helsinki for my husbands birthday treat. We we're "underwhelmed". I found the reception staff unfriendly. We booked the king plus room with a sea view. The room was large enough, but it was very cold. When we reported this issue to reception they sent a portable heater to our room. We suspected this was not the first time they had had a complaint about the temperature of the room. The sauna was basic, and my husband and I had to have separate saunas there was no shared one. There was no robes provided in our room, only slippers. Good points was the breakfast, soft towels and comfy bed. We felt it was over priced for what we got. Therefore, we would not stay again.

Thanks for your query, and think you would be best to contact hotel reception directly. I know that they will be helpful. From my stay last month I have no recollection of seeing pets around. Hope you have a great stay, Douglas.
