Was ok but location was a little far, you have restaurant and bar downstairs which is handy. Room size and balcony were good. Cute dog at lobby was heartwarming. Breakfast was not worth the money, fried eggs were 2euro extra
So, we went on a trip with my family and we actually went into that hotel, the images looked really nice in this site but when we saw it, it was just eew.. But it was late at night and it was our only option. What I got to say about the room is that it is terribly bad, overpriced and also the way that the bathroom is built is terrible as well -there is a lake of water that stays in there if you take a bath- Moreover, the breakfast is bad to decent. So in general: I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for its expensive price.
King Alexander was a clean hotel overlooking the city of Florina. The owner was friendly. The court yard and dining area had a great view of the city.
The room we stayed in did smelled of cigarette.
It was away from the hustle and bustle of the city and therefore it was very peaceful.
Breakfast was very minimal with a lack of variety. There was no fruit or vegetables ( like tomatoes or cucumbers) on offer.
Great views from the room balcony
The lounge is very comfortable, with a busy friendly atmosphere. A nice log fire really warms and relaxes the lounge.
Nice friendly staff, who all speak good English
Handy walking distance to the town
Low hard beds
Limited buffet breakfast, no hot choices
- Clean, white towels and sheets. - Great views. - The bloke who runs the place is lovely. - Very nice continental breakfast. Better than many hotels. - Modern reception/dining/bar area. - Good vibe.
- Outdated bedrooms and bathrooms. - Main reason for the low score --- While my husband and I were eating breakfast, two women lit up cigarettes inside, despite no smoking signs on the walls. The staff working at the time (not the owner) didn't seem bothered by this and let them continue. Very unpleasant while we were eating only a few tables away.
