I have stayed at several five star resorts in Nha Trang, Phu Quoc Island and Danang and this is amongst the best. This resort is huge and include four pools of which two are in the adjacent Water Slide Park. There is also a lazy river at the Water Slide Park. There is also a Casino in this resort. There is also a nightly "live" band in the restaurant including Vietnamese, Russian and Western music. The beach is very nice and large and has a big bar. The water temperature was warm and there are some waves too. The rooms have ocean views and you can hear the waves crashing. The air quality in Cam Ranh is the best in Vietnam. Came here to escape the awful air pollution on Hanoi and this was a great solution. This is a resort where you can just hang out all day and night and not travel anywhere. The food at the buffet had an enormous selection and you can certainly find something you like. Every night there was a BBQ and there was chicken, seafood, pork and beef. The service was excellent. They have a shuttle bus (15 minutes) to airport for a reasonable fee. The landscaping is very nice. Guests were primarily from China, Russia and Korea which is exactly what we experiences in Phuket, Bali, Danang and Phu Quoc. That is just the way it is these days. Great place for families as the water slide is an added bonus feature that we did not see anywhere else. Overall, recommended.
The 9 of us (5 rooms) stayed for 4 nights and we had 4 “deluxe villa” and one stayed at the main building. The rooms are of very good size, with balconies and all the amenities you would expect from a 5* resort. None of us could complain about the rooms at all. The resort has a beautiful landscape, a beautiful beach and related facilities like pool bar, a beach bar right in front of the ocean (beautiful) and an outlet that provides free snacks beside the beach.
Upon check-in, the Receptionist helped each of us to tie a wrist strap to our wrist and kind of explained this is to identify our identity in the hotel throughout our stay. Because of their English level, they did not explain exactly how this works. I insisted this to be removed from my wrist as I do not feel comfortable that I have to have something on my wrist as a hotel guest just for their convenience, and not for the guests. During our stay, we realized that we are entitled to have free soft drinks at the pool and beach bar and the only way the staff could identify is through the wrist band (we noticed many guests have different colors). Since we booked our stay through a travel agent and they did not explain clearly our entitlements, this made us confused.
There are only 2 restaurants - an all-Buffet restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner ; and another a-la-Carter’s restaurant. The buffet breakfast has a lot of varieties and we cannot complain. We had a dinner buffet one evening and found the food to be mediocre, though they seem to have a lot of food stations, but they are just different buffet lines and the food are the same. The grilled items by the pool, again, seem to be “huge” but the food quality is really so so. The dinner buffet costs US20 so what do you expect? The only thing we found positive about this resort is the F&B prices are extremely reasonable when compared to other international resorts. A coke at the pool bar is only one US$! As mentioned, a dinner buffet is only US20 although the food quality is not that good, but if you just want to feed your stomach, you cannot really complain. We dined out 3 nights and only dined one evening in the resort. If you are planning to stay put in the resort for many nights, then the food will not satisfy you.
As many reviewers say, this hotel is full of Russians. Yes, we noticed there are 90% Russians, and others are Koreans and Chinese. The hardware of this resort is good, but in terms of staff attitude and interactions, I would rate this as poor. Throughout our stay, I was not greeted once or smiled at by any staff member, be it at the restaurant, pool side or any public area which is a pity. I do not mind at all but if they can put their heart in what they do, that will certainly make a difference. I suppose this is Nha Trang which is more backwards. When I stayed in a hotel during my stay in Ho Chi Minh, the staff was great!
Another point here, when we arrived at the immigration, the officers did not immediately open the counters, and they purposely gave each a hard time, delaying people’s entry and simply stopped all immigration procedures without any valid reasons. When we left, the immigration officers blatantly asked each to give RMB 10 as a “tip”. What a shame!!
To conclude, this is a nice resort with nice rooms and landscape and facilities, but don’t expect they will pamper you as a hotel guest. Given that this place is 35 mins drive away from town, if you do not have a hire car, you may well be stuck in the resort during your stay. This is fine but if they only have 2 restaurants, this is something that you would have to consider when choosing this resort. Good luck! Oh, BTW, the resort provides high quality wi-if which is easily accessible throughout the resort, a plus!

This resort is quite beautiful looking given the layout and lush green gardens. Our rooms were clean and we each had a balcony looking out to the ocean. However this resort is full of Russians and they are not a friendly bunch to hang out with. They were rather rude to us and particularly rude to the staff which I can see why they cant be bothered to offer anything over and above in terms of service. With not many English speaking staff or guests it was lucky for us we had friends with us to socialise with. All entertainment was spoken in Russian and focused towards Russian guests. One night it was very loud until quite late and none of us could get to sleep. That was not fun. The breakfast buffet was very average and the restaurant looked tired. We had a meal at the Al-la carte restaurant one night and that was also fairly average - but the staff were so friendly and attentive which made up for it. The ocean is gorgeous with clear warm water. Don't swim in the pool - it was hot and felt like you were swimming in a bowl of soup. The men of our group played golf at the nearby courses and they were very impressed with the courses and the staff. Would be the only reason I'd recommend visiting Nha Trang area.
The entire resort is beautiful with lots of greens but hardly any flowers. There are 2 restaurants. One is strictly for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The other is ala carte. We had our first meal there after check in and it was a big let down. The food in both restaurants were way below average. My teenage son and I were very disappointed with the taste and quality of the food. We expect more delicious food for a 5 star resort. Location of resort - only good if you want to be close to the airport. About 10min taxi to the airport costing about 20,000 VND. Hotel shuttle will cost you 60,000 VND. Get the hotel staff to call you a taxi. If you want to be close to outside food then staying here is not advisable. Absolutely nothing out there to eat. There are many local restaurants/shops but no one speaks a word of English and no English menu. You could get the hotel staff to recommend some seafood places nearby but to my experience the seafood we tried was bad too! Overly cooked grilled squid and fish. We liked the less crowded beach. Big pool but dirty and water was hot. The guests here were mostly Russians, and Vietnamese. Maybe one or two Korean families.
