We spent 4 weeks at this establishment therefore enough time to give an honest review.
Our first week here was comfortable and we were impressed with the cleanliness of our room and the convenient location. We were greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to please.
Initially we thought the early morning noise of banging doors etc was attributable to other guests. However, when the noise continued whilst we were the only guests, we realised that the builders were using a room for storage etc
The noise escalated to drilling and hammering on the external wall to the extent that our room vibrated. Needless to say, this was not a peaceful holiday,
On a final note, a big thank you to Vanessa who took care of our room and breakfast requirements with always a smile and friendly greeting.
Overall the location and friendliness on the staff made this a great base whilst we explored Porto. Vanessa was always bright and smiling and took great care of our room and breakfast needs.
On the negative side there was building work being carried out throughout our stay which had noise echoing around the building. This work meant that we were awake earlier with workmen arriving around 7.00 and using a room for storage etc. Similarly the work carried on until 5.00 p.m. which prevented any chance of a siesta.
If you are looking for a reasonably priced base this fits the bill but it is worth checking that renovation work is completed if you are staying midweek.
This B&B is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the city center. We had a really nice, clean and modern room. It was equipped with everything we needed inc.a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. 2 coffee capsules were refilled each day. Unfortunately breakfast starts too late (9:30 am) so we had no chance to try the full breakfast but every evening they provided us with croissants, jam, butter, fruit, juice and tea for the next morning that we appreciated very much.
We only stayed here for 1 night before leaving our 3 week holiday of Portugal. Location was nice, maybe not totally in the center, but everything is really close. You can park the car safely in the parking facilities in the street. We had the fully new room on the ground floor; spacious, nice bed and nice bathroom with big shower. Friendly owners, they helped us with everything they could. Breakfast was also nice!
We stayed at 100 Contos in July 2017. When we arrived, we had a bit of a hard time to find this hotel but it was there and one of the owners was already waiting for us nearby. Our room was nice, big and clean. There is a small room for kids and both our kids (17 and 12) were very comfortable sharing a . They have a fridge outside in the main corridor for everyone's use. Cleaning is done daily and they have a breakfast included downstairs, next door that is good. You have a small selected menu that you can choose from. The location is great. If you have a car, they have a parking on that same street, that you can use for a fairly good price (about 12 euros per day). I recommend this bed and breakfast. BTW if you want a resto to eat nearby that is AWSOME and different from others, go to Comme Ca.
