We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were originally given room 005 but owing to the noisy drilling taking place opposite we were moved to room 218. Although we were 2 floors up we were still at pavement level owing to the hotel being on a hill. The noise, however, didn't come from the outside, it came from within the hotel - neighbours talking, toilets flushing - we could hear it all.
The room had a very large bed (although hubby found the pillows uncomfortable), a good selection of TV channels, excellent wifi, lovely bathroom products, a decent size safe, slippers and dressing gowns, a nice fridge with freebie snacks and soft drinks but best of all a mini kettle. the only downside was the bifold shower door as it didn't shut properly meaning that water was always leaking out. I also learnt early on that the loo seat was not a soft close.
The buffet breakfast offered a good selection including fizz, and eggs could be made to specification. We visited the bar on a couple of occasions but found their cocktails quite expensive. Port is given as a welcome drink but I avoided the custard tarts as they weren't covered and I let the mini flies enjoy them instead. The gym was really functional and spotlessly clean as was everywhere else in the Lisboa Pessoa.
Excellent service and friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble plus this hotel is only a short walk from the Santa Justa lift, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, squares and the Doll Hospital as seen on TV. We even took a lovely leisurely walk to the Santo Amaro dock for our Hippo trip Amphibious sightseeing tour. We booked tickets for this at the hotel and I would recommend this as staff were able to tell us which time slots still had availability. They also helped us in choosing a tram that would allow us to explore the parts of Lisbon of interest to us. We chose number 28 as it dropped us off directly opposite the São Jorge Castle where we also visited Lisbon's highest historical tower.
All in all a lovely stay at a lovely hotel. My advice would be to use an Uber from the airport to the hotel. We didn't and it cost us almost 25 euros compared to 9 euros using an Uber upon our return.
