We were due to fly to Amsterdam today for a 4 night break. KLM cancelled our flights and have issued a Travel Voucher so we can rearrange our flights. I contacted Hotel Cordial to rearrange our stay for later in the year. I paid £642 in advance for the hotel room. They refused to rearrange our booking and would not refund our money. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE THEY DONE THIS TO DURING THIS PANDEMIC??? Absolutely DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR. They are profiting from a Pandemic. I hope customers remember the companies that have profited from peoples misery during this time. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. They are without a shred of moral decency.
We travel all over the world at least 5 times a year. We managed to get the last Emirates flights out of Bangkok last week before the lockdown.
We also have two further weekend breaks organised for May and the hotels concerned have agreed to move our bookings to later in the year. THESE HOTELS VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS.
HOTEL CORDIAL HAS NO VALUES. DO NOT STAY THERE.
loved this hotel. the staff were very obliging and helped me with everything. they were very nice and friendly. The room was basic but very clean comfortable and warm and had everything there that i could need. Its based right in the city centre and everything at its doorstep. what more could you want!.
It’s in a great location for access to the underground, tourist attractions and walking distance to most however is in need of some work.
On arrival we requested rooms located off the front of the hotel to ensure we were away from the noise of the trams & public etc, we were granted this and given rooms on floor two.
On arrival into the room I was granted with the smell of what only can be back smell from the drains, this was also in the two other rooms where my colleagues were staying in.
The bathroom has dirt / mould present on the tiles, marks in the toilet.
The bedroom was clean and presentable however a huge draft a poorly sealed window meant the room felt cold and the ageing AC unit want functional.
This hotel is in a great location as stated above but wouldn’t stay here if travelling with my family.
This hotel is in a handy place, approx 10 min walk to main train station. Room was fairly big for European standards, and a decent sized bathroom. Bed was big and comfy. Windows could open up for fresh air, but as it's amsterdam, lots of rain anyways! Only gripes no fridge in room, bit annoying. Hotel close to Amsterdam attractions as well as we found the supermarket which was good as we found A'dam can be a bit pricey. Plus definitely pack umbrellas and raincoats!!!
We've just checked in - room smells of wee and window latch is broken and air con not working. Not a nice place - if we were staying for more than one night then I would be quite depressed. At least the location is alright for shops etc but I couldn't recommend it to anyone.
