We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August 2018. We found the owner, Marina, to be very pleasant and helpful. The B & B itself is spotlessly clean and in a great location just outside the city walls. It is a six or seven minute walk to the bus station just inside the walls where you can catch a bus to Pisa or Florence . The breakfasts were lovely, fresh every morning, plenty of variety and you could either eat in the breakfast room or outside in the garden. Lucca is a beautiful city with a very slow pace of life, plenty to see, lots of very good restaurants and should we ever return we would definitely stay at this B & B again.

This nice and cozy B&B was a great discover.
Conveniently located at a very short walking distance from Lucca’s gate (1 minute walk), it offers also the possibility to park your car.
We have been welcomed by the propietor, a wondeful lady who will give you all information you may need.
Rooms are well decorated and perfectly kept and cleaned,, and there is also a little but confortable garden where you can relax and restore.
Breakfast, served in the common room, has a good selection of food and drinks.
“Il Giardino del Pettirosso” is definitely an amazing opportunity to dioscover Lucca and its surroundings.

The house has a very careful decoration, has a very quiet garden in which to take a drink. The room was very nice, very clean, very comfortable and the bed very comfortable. In addition, it has private parking so leaving the car is a great advantage given that you can not enter the old town with it. The location is magnificent, two minutes from Porta Sant'Anna and very close to the city center, which allows you to enjoy the privilege of sleeping in a very quiet area but being next to everything. But the best thing is to meet Marina, she is charming, she goes out of her way to make you happy and makes you feel at home. She worries so much because you're fine that she even offered to solve a problem we had with a tour. And it was thanks to her that we found a solution and we were able to do the excursion that we had planned the day before our departure. Without your help it would not have been possible. If we go back to Lucca we will certainly repeat it.

Lovely older house that has been restored into a 4 room B&B. Located just outside the city walls this is a great location for people with a car and who intend to travel to the surrounding areas. Marina is the hostess and is very friendly and knowledge of the city and area. Her breakfast cakes were always good. She provides bikes and there is parking on site for no additional cost.
The room walls are on the thin side. The bathrooms are small and odd.
