The apartment is very well and centrally located. We had a car, which we parked very easily into a parking house close by, which our host recommended. Parking was 25€/day, and the lodging was 100 €/night. Apartment was a little disappoiment. Photos were very professionally taken, actually there was not so much room. Also, cleanliness was very poor. We were there for three days and the host just gave us the keys. In the kitchen was the sofa, which was very dirty, as the kitchen overall. On the kitchen table was a basket, which was full of packed "trash bread". In the fridge was couple of youghurts. No cleaning in all three days!
All attractions are within walking distance, comfortable beds, clean, the view from the main bedroom is lovely, big bathroom, good kitchenette with a basket full of breakfast foods and cakes and comfy sofa. It was just perfect for our stay in Florence and we will be back again.
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights recently and couldn't have asked for a better location. The apartment was up 4 flights with timed lights which made for a dark trip first time until we worked these out. There is a lift but if was a tad tiny and after walking all day the extra excercise wasn't an issue. The flat is lovely with a fridge hob and dishwasher. the water from the boiler was hot and there is central heating and air conditioning. We had an excellent spell of September weather so didn't need the first and just used the second to chill down the bedrooms when we first got in. The flat is very peaceful with only the sound of the church bells disturbing my sleep early morning. The beds were firm but comfortable. Only complaint was lack of mirrors - only 1 in the bathroom. We stumbled across two excellent restaurants within feet of the front door. Trattoria Nella - turn right as you leave and it is the second venue you pass. extremely busy but worth the wait. Le Antiche Carrozze - turn left and just round the corner. Went back twice - lovely pasta and pizza and charming waiters.
I would gladly give it 4.5, but TripAdvisor didn't let me.
We spent a glorious week in Florence in this appartment. We had everything: fabulous location, space (2 bedrooms, large bathroom, kitchen/living room), AC, well-stocked fridge and a very attentive and friendly owner (Franco).
We would return to La Loggia, but would kindly ask Franco to repair the shower drain (slow and smelly), and to get a flat screen TV larger than 12 inches (we were there in the middle/end of the EURO championship).
La Loggia was one of the best accomodations we had in our 3 weeks of italian travel. Franco was by far the most helpful and friendly owner we interacted with.
Thank you, Franco!
We (two couples) loved this apartment for our 3 nights in Florence. Franco (the owner) was very friendly, he greeted us on arrival, helped us with luggage, showed us the apartment, left us the keys and his telephone number, and the apartment was ours. The apartment is located in the heart of old Florence, 2 blocks from the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. The apartment is nice size, clean, well appointed, on the 4th floor (with elevator), many windows, view of the Pallazo Vecchio tower, 2 bedrooms (1 King, 1 w/ Bunk Beds), kitchen and bath, and very quiet at night. The owner stocks the kitchen with self-serve breakfast foods (milk, yogart, croissants, breads, coffee, nutella, etc.) and bottled water. We definitely recommend this place for families or group of friends. We were very comfortable and pleased with every aspect.
p.s. - the address is Via Delle Terme 19 (not 219).
