Perfect
My first wonderful trip to Florence. We could not have stayed anywhere more perfect. We had a suite, which had a stunning terrace with views over the Duomo. The people at the hotel were very sympathetic and we felt safe and looked after in these strange times. Also the happy hour was a lovely touch and we had an aperoil spritz in their pretty garden. A perfect stay, nice hotel staff and a lovely, special hotel.

Stunning hotel
I love Hotel David ! This is the second time we have stayed here, the first time we got an upgrade to the junior suite and second time we had to book it so we didn’t miss out. You could live in this room, I would never get bored of sitting on that terrace looking out at the Duomo and all the other sights. Immaculately clean, amazing toiletries in the bathroom, delicious breakfast and the famous happy hour in the garden. I like it’s location, you are not that far out of town and the walk along the river is beautiful. If you are travelling to the train station the C4 bus stops right outside the hotel and a ticket is only €1.50. A very special hotel and the only place I would ever stay in Florence.

Wonderful stay
What can I add to the other great reviews of this place? We had been on a hectic 8 night tour prior to staying here and being able to enjoy Florence, then retreat back to the David for drinks and canapés, whilst just reading and relaxing in the lounge was a real treat.
Breakfast, with all measures in place, was great and the service fantastic at all times.
Our room was spacious and despite the nearby busy road, extremely quiet. All linens were pristine and the bed very comfortable, a good nights sleep was guaranteed.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again if revisiting Florence.

Dear Guest, I thank you for your words of appreciation and we are sorry to advice that our happy hour is going to be supended for the winter due to the covid....yes we kept it till the time you could have it in the garden but now that tempherature went down we are not able to have it inside out living room...too many people together is not good :-) but it wil be back and better than before I assure you! Charming hotel
Sitting in courtyard for our last evening having booked here for three nights. This hotel is very special. The staff clearly take pride in every aspect. Our room was beautiful and well sized. The reception staff booked us great restaurant recommendations. And also recommended an excellent well priced guide. Happy hour was amazing free drinks and lovely snacks. Felt like a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of central Florence but an easy walk away along beautiful river. Thoroughly recommend.

Hitting way above its weight class!
There is no WAY this is a three star place. If you’re looking at booking an affordable, family run place this is it! Free parking, free happy hour, free WiFi, free breakfast AND they let us bring our cat. Just a fantastic place. Super comfy bed, great hot water and a comfortable room. The family is so helpful and friendly and it is only a 10 minute or so walk to Ponte Vecchio.

Hi. I'm booking a room for next March. I thought I was starting early and there would be plenty of choice but this must be a very popular hotel because I only have a few room choices available. I'm trying to decide between a Standard Double with Balcony or a Comfort room on the 2nd floor. The Comfort room does not have a balcony. Any advice? I like the idea of a larger room with the Comfort room but have read so many good reviews about the rooms with balcony. Thanks!!!

Does the comfort / triple room have a balcony?

Hi the website says the Comfort Room with balcony has a balcony. It doesn’t say a triple room does have a balcony but I only saw 3 of their rooms and we were very happy with them. The downstairs outdoor space is quiet and lovely too. Hope that helps.
