We have stayed in that hotel just for one night during our trip to southern Tuscany.
The room headed to the inner Garden of the hotel. The room was very clean. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Parking in nearby Garage Italia was arranged by hotel staff. Entrance to garage with luggage is just opposite the hotel .
Breakfast was served to table and really delicious.
Great little hotel and tucked away from the main crowds yet a perfect base for exploring the city’s main attractions.
The hotel kindly provided an early breakfast for any marathoners staying on race morning.
The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The courtyard garden is perfect for taking a relaxing coffee under the shady citrus trees.
I would certainly recommend this place and stay there myself again.
We had 4 nights visit in this special hotel.
Location is very good, with many restaurants and interesting shops around, many important attractions near by.
The rooms, in the first floor, had the hotel beautiful garden as a view from the window. Good size, convinient bed.
We got bottles of water for free.
Room service was being done twice a day. Everything was clean and esthetic.
Reception was very helpful, more than usual.
As a summery: we will come back.
Stayed at the hotel for 5 days. The hotel is in good location and has some positive things but has many problems that makes the stay unsatisfactory.
These were the positive things: Some of the staff front desk personal ( two young women) were very helpful, kind and pleasant. Others were indifferent and less helpful.
Breakfast was very good.
Problems: furniture dated. The single chair in the room was broken and shaky. The room was too hot and there was no way to cool it except for opening the windows. This brought in many mosquitoes. There are no nets on the window and the front desk offered a scent-producing device that was useless and created a bad smell.
House cleaning was imperfect and many sites in the room were left uncleaned. The refrigerator in the room broke, and the plug in the bathroom did not work and was not repaired even after I request this.
The shower was very mall and their doors would not close tightly leading to water spilling out to the bathroom. re were no hot water on one night that was repaired late in the night with created noises of hammering until midnight. The hotel staff were speaking loudly n the hotel’s courtyard even after they were asked to keep their voices down.
My mom and I stayed here for 4 nights - at first I thought it may be too much time, but it was WONDERFUL! Florence is beautiful and this hotel is the perfect place to stay. Room is charming and the grounds are well-maintained and lush. The hotel has so much character - the art and decorations are lovely. Staff very helpful and attentive (helped us figure out how to reserve tickets to the cathedral, etc.)
Walkable to Duomo and many other sights, great food (restaurants and markets.)
