We booked this accommodation because of the availability of a terrace. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on a terrace at the end of the day with either a glass of wine or a beer. The B&B is located close to the old town of Alghero as well as being close to shops, bars, bus station and the harbour all of which are within 10 minutes from the B&B. The room and facilities were very clean and Mario who owns the residence made our stay very enjoyable. He was always eager to answer any questions we asked. The breakfast provided consisted of fruit, toast, cheese, meats, yogurts, juice and coffee which was very nice. I would highly recommend this accommodation to stay at if anyone is intending to stay in Alghero. We would definitely book here again if we returned.

We stayed for 4 nights. Mario is a great host, very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely with a shared balcony and had toiletries provided. Great location with the old town a short walk away. Breakfast was tasty with toast, yogurts, fruit, tea/coffee and juice. Mario can collect you from the airport sometimes for a small fee and a taxi is 25 euros but we did the ARST bus to the b&b. Look for ALFA written on the front of the bus which leaves on the hour. You catch it about 50 metres on the right when you exit the airport, cost's a euro each, get off at the last stop (approx a 30 min journey) and it's a 5 min walk to the b&b. There are 4 flights of stairs up to the b&b but this was not a problem for us. Would def stay at this b&b again if in Sardinia. We loved our stay.

This B&B was such a positive experience.
We chose the place not only due to it's location, but because of the excellent reviews. And it was definitely the right choice.
We were greeted by the owner Mario who was so hospitable and friendly. He gave us great tips of where to eat and what we should see. He was even able to tell the time tables for the buses to different sights.
The room was clean and neat, and the location was perfect. Very close to the old town center, but in a peaceful neighborhood.
I was also pleased with the filling breakfast.
We recommend this place to everyone, and would definitely visit again.
The only small minus was that the hotel was on the fourth floor of a building with no lift. But it's a small inconvenience to pay for such a good experience. However it might be a good idea to inform the place before hand what time you will be arriving, so that you don't climb all those stairs and not have anybody open the door for you like happened to us ;)

The B&B is the top floor of an apartment block up about 80 steps (no lift). The room was dark (dark orange walls), the balcony outside the bedroom was untended with broken wooden chairs (perhaps because it is still too cold to use the balconies), So I was disappointed when we first arrived. However the room was clean, the bathroom was large and the shared balcony on the other side of the building was better maintained. Breakfast was quite good, apart from the toasted sliced packet bread.
But the real reason for the rating I am giving this B&B is because the owner Mario could not be more helpful and patient, with lots of worthwhile advice on where to eat, what to see etc. If you go expecting basic rooms at a good price, in a location convenient to the old town you will not be disappointed in La Terrazza.

I normally don't bother writing any review, but this time it's different. I can honestly recommend this place! We've arrived at 10am and we weren't even expecting to check in. The owner (Mario) welcomed us with massive smile and made us feel comfortable straight away! :) He is super friendly and helpful is you need any tips or advise.
Room was amazing. We could choose to one we liked and they all looked big and super clean. The best things about this place are huge terraces, where you can have your morning cup of tea of coffee or just to relax on the sun deck. Location is great too. it's the same distance to get to the beach and old town (less than 10 min walk) so it's an easy access no matter where you want to go or what you want to do. The only problem, which may occur for some travellers, is that rooms are located on the 4th floor and there is no lift. It was no problem for us, but again, I wouldn't be able to take my Mum there... Otherwise everthing was great! Honestly guys, if you are looking for a cool place to stay that's the one! Happy travelling!
